By the way, am I the only one who found this pretty disappointing for an update that took over two months? I mean, I thought the reworks to Infusion, the Qi Limit, and some talents were welcome, but that’s not really new content.

As for the content itself... He Mei: disappointing—I only saw value in the variant with the possessed He Gang. The fight with the rogue: fun if you mess with him, good for seeing high stats in full effect, though the stat checks are too high for me to take seriously . The conversation with Butterfly: interesting in terms of lore and spell explanations, but the thousand-year-old immortal sage acting like a stupid, weird, and clumsy teenager was an eyesore, I swear I skipped half her lines. And of course, the spells: I thought they were really cool, but the Soul Lobotomy and LB’s behavior make me completely jump off the ship.

Besides, my completely biased opinion: everything that originates from TW—whether spells, dao, manual, or whatever—shouldn’t require choosing one side or the other; they should come naturally to the MC without needing to be offered by a third party; they’re practically his “inheritance and legacy", after all.

I believe that this, just as with Tri Dao, is something that will come later in one form or another, and that its presence now is just a nice advantage; but if I’m wrong, it’s, in my opinion, just bad design.

I actually like it, since she's, at the end of the day, just a freak obsessed with TW's farts. And I do appreciate a character who's lying half as much as Nicky himself, it's interesting.

This did disappoint me to no end. Mainly due to lack of choice substance and player agency. But I'm interested in where Nicky intends to go with the route. So I'll be seeing where it goes.

Does your disappointment stem from wanting LB to act differently by the way? I never thought she was out of character.

Nicky did make a point with Yan that TW didn't give us ****, so it seems this is the intended way. For my part, I sort of like this "You don't have time to take things easy, get stronger as fast as possible." pace, and that random Wei memories aren't a reliable way to get carried.

Now with all that said, I do actually believe Nicky will be giving us more TW stuff or other soon, since both empire and rogue routes rely entirely on the player knowingly giving away their agency. Not to mention not everyone will be allying with Yues since Fang is...Fang. So Nicky will have to give freebies sooner or later.

Or he could not and just have us suffer if we're not willing to take a dip. It would be funny so I'm not against it either.

Just use the primordial chaos dao (console dao) to get the two spells and become a neutral bro. You think I have full asura because I went to bohai and dq?

Yan and the rest of the Nikiverse don't really know what they are talking about and are insanely underestimating us. (I already have said this before but Yan could have gotten us a Nirvana manual but didn't do it because she doesn't think we are worth the effort. B2 Yan will give us Void manual though)

I mean we got realm annihilating fist so we will probably get the divine version of the 2 op spells that don't have side effects or drawbacks.

Nicky will probably give us a way to dodge the consequences of both empire and rogue route just like he did with the mei heart blood plotline (Devil and the Other voice in our head for the win, both of them are goated and the other voice will get us out of this ****)

Console Dao for the win. Though wu heir is not "begging" (though your fraudass wu heir might, mine has never begged for anything in his life), this is a transaction in which we probably have more to lose than win and there are consequences for our actions (that void manual can go **** itself btw because unless it has chaos in its name, i am not using it).

Devil has more aura than anyone in the whole game dawg and its niki's bumass forcing us to use devil anyways, I could genuinely win that DES fight on my own if you gave me the chance (anyone that actually needs devil for anything other than the DES fight is an absolute fraud tho)

For a second i thought Book 1 got completed by the time i was finished spelling these out. So much build up only to become a slave to poma's biggest yandere. Yue Yan is probably in contention for the title.
