Reaching the peak of Soul Cultivation doesn't really require you to destroy your dantian and body, It just makes it easier and is more beneficial to someone whose body is weak. I mean think about, why would a pure soul cultivator need their weak body if they can resist qi attacks with their soul and completely ignore physical attacks by being a thought form. The great buddha has reached the peak of both soul cultivation and body refining, so he possesses a body strong enough enough to make his body not be obsolete compared to his soul. LB is talking about pure soul cultivation here. In simple words, If you did not bother to grow your body and qi core alongside your soul, you might as well discard them so they don't hold you back whereas a True Tri-Cultivator wouldn't need to do so since all three paths complement and support each other resulting in no compromises to the soul, body and qi core.

We would say the same **** about wu heir, in how even though we have 1000s of dragons in us and are a dao child, we still get absolutely rinsed by Wu heir and mogged by him in spells and body, get bent over backwards and butt ****ed by any semi relevant character like long chen, song edu, yang gan, shengjue etc. A proper wu heir that selects the best options everytime has no loses and more aura in one pinkie than Ruo has in her entire body.
Ruo is invincible in the same way that mark is invincible while we don't live up to the hype in the same way that thragg in the show doesn't live up to the hype.

Why do we never receive the effects of COP for so many years and why did our Physique allows us to use martial arts and spells pre expo. I think the physique needs a dao seed to form to be properly awakened.

So, as you can see, even before the exposition Wu Heir already could simply read these symbols and understand them. That's why you can simply enter in the meditation menu in the Free-roam and select to learn a new Art.
And that is why Wu Heir Arts are so strong despite being "only" Top-Grade, as an MA art power is tied to BP and the level of comprehension in the said Art.
So even as a MA/before becoming a cultivator we were already enjoying of the immeasurable comprehensive talent aspect of COP, although as something born in the same Primordial Chaos as the Heavens the COP is way more than just that.
