Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

Even Tang Lichen don't want smoke with that gorilla 😭 you know it's serious when even the senile old fool don't want to **** with it lmao

Sadly that will always stick. Don’t worry, Wu Heir is my favorite fraud. But in all seriousness, it’s been years ,Wu Heir is not losing that label anytime soon. Especially to the more casual people, they’ll need to do some insane to lose the label. Once a character gets the fraud or bum memes, they will not lose it.
Yeah we've finally gotten some good showings now but the problem is that it's all against random bums. When we go up against He Gang or Ruo we're still made to look pathetic and I'm really hoping that changes soon

Maybe they play and mortal and don't know how to use their stats
They ain't playing mortal, let's be real. I even saw someone say story mode feels like mortal mode, which pissed me off tbh lol

Honestly the progression is actually at a fun point for me right now, especially with the last update and qol changes. There's a rhythm to it and that's good and I feel like people forget it'll only get better. Game will only get easier as Nicky adds and polishes mechanics, adds events.

Just for an example, we don't have events for activities or the tattoo shop available yet. And I don't know if Nicky intends this, but he could always add more events to the visit someone menu to have us see and get cool stuff. (Let me beg Ruo for funds Nicky)

As for Wu Fraud agenda, personally I'm desperate for actually defeating someone I had no business beating. (Outside the arena fights, which are crazy good dogfights if your stats aren't up to par exactly but you stay alive btw. But those don't count since Qi refining covers all houtian realms anyway...)

*Wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge* Jia tingguang fight for IE, Nicky? *wink* *wink*

Casual "readers", like the ones you can find in any fandom(JJK one, for example). People who doesn't read the work properly and rely in the descriptions of others.
Can't blame them, reading Poma every update is a slog of mid until we get past expo. Even then Wu Heir only gets really good when the tourney starts.

Casual readers or "readers" won't stick around for 400k words just to finally get that Wu Heir's greatness.

Il have to unfortunately put myself in that category. Ever since the yichen awards I haven't played through poma's new updates both because even just skimming takes too long and because whenever I replay a wip that got an update I usually like to read the whole thing again just to get into the mode of the work and author's writing. And I just do not have time for that.

I'm honestly just waiting until Nicky finishes with the new gameplay additions, those RO events he wants to add and until we continue with the story before I re-read poma again. For now though it is larping1000114856.jpg

It also helps that Poma isn’t exactly a good IF, unless you really like cultivation stories.

So the casual readers/cog people who are just there for the romance and power fantasy...just don't even bother to continue when they slightly feel like they aren't getting those two things. They just look at the Wu heir feeling threatened by a wolf, call the character a bum, and move on.

I have to disagree with poma not being a good IF, but I do agree the target audience might not be capable of appreciating what they have. If only IFs were a more popular genre and not the niche of niches, I'm sure it would have more attention. But looking at hot garbage like dao ascension succeed to the extent that it has honestly does make me lose hope for the future. I can't help but feel like people just don't want...to think?

Maybe some of them are like the dude that thought wu heir on storymode is stronger than shangtians.

Yeah I agree the game is in a very good spot right now, you can see glimpse of how powerful wu heir is now we just need a serious fight to show off all that power.

Truly a important fight to be added. There's no joy in killing him post-coma after all.
Pre-Expo Jia Tianguang fight. Defeating the Rank-2 Wolf in Ai's mission(Although is already likely to be added). An spar match with Ruo in the Exposition would be interesting in my view too.

Pre-Qi Wu Heir have plenty of potential additions that'd be good in my humble opinion.

I feel like PoMA would be better, in writing, as a book properly, not really a IF, as a IF has its plenty of weakness for writing. It's harder for character development, harder to build a solid identity for the MC, also side characters identity(As this completely unnecessary wave of ***-selectable ROs). His world building and setting is great, though. Creativity even, his in-world Cultivation system, and the singularity as a MC that's Wu Heir(Although I said it lacks identity)
So, for me, PoMA would be better as a book/novel itself, or at least a very closed/linear IF like Dragoon Series of Cata. Don't know you all.

Yeah early game feels long and drawn out with nothing to do I mostly skim through that section to get to post expo because that feels like where the game truly begins.

I personally feel like adding the prologue just made restarting a boring slog at least before you jumped right into creating your character

I couldn't have said it better myself, that's pretty much how I feel too

I actually love the prologue we get to see Wu heir's background and I enjoyed it it's not too long or too short.

In my first playthrough the game was very short and different back when the intelligent stat was around and personality stats 😭
Hmm... I remember the first time I was going to try POMA—I gave up because I saw it had personality stats, which I hate in every IF out there. So by the time I really played it, they were gone.

It's just kinda tame, post-expo you're immeaditely meeting a dragon waifu like two turns after waking up.

I think it’s just Nicky’s fault. From my perspective, the “canon” MC is the one we see when there’s no choice for the player to make; and, at least as I’ve interpreted it, that MC is usually a cautious guy who’s a bit pessimistic and fearful, but he’s also lazy and likes to draw attention to himself. That’s why I don’t usually like choices that lean one way or the other, because it seems (again, the way I see it) like the MC is putting on an act, rather than being natural; as if in his mind he were thinking something like, “Hmm… A good guy would probably act like this in this situation,” so when we choose a good option, he acts like a pushover good guy from a clichéd anime, and when we choose a evil option, he acts more like a rude jerk than someone who’s actually evil.

On the other hand, Anon does this very well with Thunderfaller, since he basically has a well-defined personality regardless of whether he’s doing something good or bad
