Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

Battle of Nepo babies over here bro.

The real goat is Xiao Chun. Born to some no name family, got zero martial training, and had a blood purity so low he had to gamble his life for the opportunities to advance.

Still reached P-H before Wu Bum and Fraud Ruo did. Both Ruo and Wu Heir would be Xiao Chun victims if they were born to normal families and weren't spoiled brats given gifts by the ruler of the entire empire, or said God who founded that very empire.
He also died after I dao mogged his technique
Why do so many arena fights have people wager their life fighting you

Daily reminder, that if you really think about it, Ruo hasn’t done anything notable, and he gets carried by his Tang Clan name.
I will be there when GOATRuo's fight against the MC in the tournament either ends in a scripted win for him or gets interrupted...not before the Wu heir gets badly schooled by the prince, tho 😂

The name really doing a lot of heavy lifting for the 'invincible' prince(ss)
Search for "Lizard","Ruo" or "Rival" in this thread alongside my username

I wasn't a Ruo glazer, I am glad I got enlightened, tho. Soon enough everyone will accept that Ruo is the true MC of Poma just like I did!
Bro's been possessed by Nikki to be doing all this glazing 😭

it would be interesting to have a game where you play as ruo, the ealier poma kind alude you as young master but it's clear you not really the top dog, side note realm annihilating fist is op as ****, with dev tool dao you get infinite one shot ability, pair it up with space looking and ggs, in one of my playthrough you get chu muchen all **** up with his ice wisp getting swallow, with my playthrough with raf you can one shot him easy.

That's surely because Ruo has won so many times against wu goat right? right? Our first fight surely resulted in a victory for the 'invincible' princess right? Otherwise why would she be called that? Surely she isn't using the "I am holding back so even if I get bent over backwards and f*cked in the a*s, I will always have an excuse ready, what a brilliant strategy!" technique that she hasn't used since the Heian Era?

I wouldn't say anything, but to be sure all of Ruo's feats are generally much less impressive within context.

It's just that every time Ruo gets a W, there's a media crew around. Like an annoying streamer who is hated my reddit and various internet forums but loved by the slop community on instagram and other social media.

And every time Ruo gets an L it happens in such a way that is never publicized or seen by like 3.5 people.

It got me thinking that maybe that's an aspect of the Dao Child vs CO physique thing. When the Wu Heir gets a massive W it's always downplayed by some external factor or no one has seen it. Consequently if we get L's it's always a big thing. On the other hand Ruo is the complete opposite - all his W's get streamed to the whole world while all his L's are always excused and/or not public.

This very much seems like a Dao Child luck vs CO misfortune kinda thing.

Niki using the heaven's child excuse everytime he wants to glaze Ruo which is all the time. And the COP misfortune everytime he wants to bum down MC's feats. Heavens even have a hold on LB cuz she finds nothing MC does impressive lol. Even TW is affected, he basically said "Your feats will be normal, but that lizard child is impressive".

Isn't mc supposed to defy heavens ?

Yes. It's just clumsy. It takes away any credit from Ruo’s achievements, because in the end, everything comes down to luck and Heaven’s favor. Plus, it forces us to swallow whatever happens because Ruo might casually stumble upon an absurd power-up off-screen. Why? "Uhhh... Ruo took over two and a half years to barely make it into the top 10, but from there, it only took him four months to far surpass any top 10 fighter... And it makes perfect sense, because, duh, Dao Child..."

My opinion here is that the entire way Ruo and the concept of the Dao Child are portrayed is flawed. As it stands, it’s obviously just a convenient device to keep Ruo from becoming an irrelevant rival in the story. As it is, it’s just a power fantasy—but not for the MC.

I think, at most, Ruo should be something along the lines of “the Chosen One”—he’s strong, he grows quickly, and he’s destined to have a series of opportunities that will eventually arise… something fixed, not some damn system that adapts whenever it’s convenient.

I quite like the idea that the heavens pave up favourable circumstances for Ruo to get stronger and create unfavourable circumstances for MC to stumble. I just wish if this were so, then it would be better described in the IF. Like throw some sentences here and there. For example whenever MC faces a big setback, make it seem artificial and not coincidental. Like something purposefully done just to hamper MC. Make the MC suspect someone but eventually build it up to a larger than you situation. This could be a nice way to build conflicts for the MC and write subplots. Ofc this will only be feasable if we didnt know about the larger cultivator world, the specifics of COP and MC's unique heritage. Else there's no suspense and payoff.

Imagine towards late game you discover that every hurdle and misfortune you have overcome were not coincidental but handcrafted by an entity greater than all the gods combine which also essentially governs the universe. You learn that this cosmic entity is envious of your physique, your growth, your understanding of dao which is greater than theirs, and hateful of the circumstances of you birth which they handcrafted again to make you their slave husk and failed. Imagine the feeling you get when you realise you have been defying such an entity's will, the heaven's will just by living to see another day. You have been doing unkowingly what a COP user is fated to do. That you have said no to the will of the universe without knowing about them. This i believe will give character to the MC. The undettering will that LB keeps talking about. By living and growing as a COP user, your will is already stronger than most. For most would crumble under the stare of the heavens. But not you, you will stare back and say "Try Again".
