Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

Righteousness in my Grimdark Game? Absolutely not, My MC handles matters and conflict with basically one method.
That was to kill!
You do not relent? Kill!
You are an eyesore? Kill!
My own mood is bad? Kill!
I am bored? Kill!

I'd argue that PoMA is more Grimdank than Grimdark tbh. Like yeah the atmosphere and the lore kinda matches up with what the characters are doing but man...

But also it's probably an argument against all Xianxia/Wuxia that is not comedic or purposefully super-serious. In the same story and even sometimes the same scene you can have a tragic backstory moment where some dark **** is revealed, people rip each other's limbs off just to make a point, and then some girl from the bleachers yells "OMG LONG CHEN I LOVE YOU!!!<><><)))"

Probably why I like Aura Clash more tone-wise - anon has an ideal balance between comedy and then transitions smoothly into serious stuff, or makes it a point that there is a tone mismatch.

Do forgive me if it was posted earlier, i was about 100 pages behind and did not want to read everything, for the mei scene, i assume that there's a right answer when she asks if there's something that we want to do, what is it?

0.34 premium, mei event, when she asks "Is there something you want to do, Bao Bei?" — she says, looking somewhere in the distance — "Not out of necessity. Not just to stay alive." You can answer with "Yes, there is" and it'll make you type an answer.
If I remember correctly her answer always stays the same there. But it's pretty funny to write some absurd things.

Damn, it's really interesting to see that when there's no PoMA update for a month or more, the thread kinda dies until a new update or sneak peek is released, all the while the Aura Clash thread keeps trudging on months after the last update and only slows down for like a couple of weeks until a new chapter is around the corner and then it fires up again.

You guys think it's cause Anon just keeps up the lore tidbits and development updates regularly or another reason?

I think it's because POMA's lore can change if Nicky woke on the wrong side of bed so it feels redundant to talk about something that might change in the future and become irrelevant.

Meanwhile Aura Clash's lore is pretty consistent and isn't prone to really change for the most part (I only remember one thing that changed and even then I agree with that change).

What the other posts said, plus PoMA is older, so a lot of topics have already been discussed to death

I think its also because AC has more variety in game, multiple styles with many interactions, so many races, so discussion can come in the form of " What does my OC do?" As well as agenda wars, that keeps any forum alive, as well as regular **** posts

But AC forums has slowed down, which is pretty normal since the last update was like 6 month ago, and AC updates are huge compared to POMA so it is more hype when it updates and many secrets are to be found and discussed and asked

I think it is because most or the regulars around here got busy or aren't on the forums anymore or just lost. It used to still be active between long waits for updates

*insert a rant about how there's only one truly viable route in POMA and if you don't pick that route you're missing out on 90% of the content*

Now this one I actually agree with completely. It's like yeah, Niki adds a solid amount of content each update, and his updates are pretty regular usually (30-40k on average each month) while Anon's are not (200-300k every 5-6 months), Niki's updates are always focused on what he considers to be the 'main' route, which it probably isn't for the majority of people.

So while Niki pumps out on average almost the same amount of content per 6 months (180-240k), most of this content is very specific and/or is a massive rework that technically doesn't add anything to the story and is just game balance. And Anon's updates are always the complete opposite, with him always adding a whole new chapter and even the reworks are not just balance but also add content to what he already had.

Don't need to tell me, I play female Wu Heir. I'm locked out of the 'ideal' pathway from the very first choice. POMA is also a lot more liner than AC so the imbalance shows a lot more. In AC, the plot and characters treat you differently when you're a male vs when you're a female. Like being a woman is important to the story and how situations play out. It doesn't feel like you're being punished for making the 'wrong' choice.

In POMA, sometimes it feels like you're punished for it. One pathway (demonic) is useless because a lot of it's content is locked behind Mei. You miss out on meeting a plot important character (Shu, you still get laid though) and for the most part, the characters don't act any differently nor does the story flow in a different manner. You get tossed a bone here and there but the story stays the same. Unfortunately because the story is so tailored to specific choices that you begin to wonder why Nicki bothered to add any other choice.

Anyway, I'm only playing for the ultimate martial arts fantasy. Violence.
