That's long overdue I think. But the ever-shifting scale of EX stats holds us back. What is it at now anyway? Last time I checked it was something like 150-200 for a weak EX.
Which actually reminds me—what does Niki mean by 'weak EX'? Like does he mean that an EX with 160 in a stat is like a PH with a 41-42 or something or what? Cause no way there is a 50 point range within what is considered a 'weak' EX. Meaning that both a 150 stat EX and a 180 stat EX would be considered weak.
That seems like cap since it would imply that a 'strong' EX would start at 250 and end in 300, further implying that there's a 6x increase in max stats from PH to EX, which would be fine if it was a linear thing, but since we know that someone with 10 points more in a stat than someone else absolutely demolishes them in that stat, it would mean that the power increase from a lowest-stat EX to a max-stat EX is like comparing a nuclear bomb and a coughing baby.
Tbh I think Niki is really trying his hardest to convince us that we are still much weaker than an EX cause he wants to leave that for the second book, but by doing this he seems to be inadvertently pushing the power floor/ceiling for Xiantians further and further, and by extension doing that to every stage/realm above them.
At this rate the statements from early-on about Xiantians being able to lift small hills might end up being true.

150 is just the minimum strength a xiantian can have when they reach that realm, their main strength is their aura, flight and from a quick discord search the ability to harm your inner energy which is just a fck you to any houtian, though super talented and trained qrs can just punch up to shangtian
I know what you're referring to—a tumblr post I think. But I remember it being Qi Sea geniuses that can defeat some weak Shangtians. Could be wrong though.
But the fact that X's main strength is not even their stats makes this whole thing even more ridiculous imo. Like they have all these crazy abilities and also have stats that alone are enough to just vaporize any would be peak talent at PH. What I mean that this sort of progression will get out of hand, and in fact, already has. I know that once the Wu Heir gets to Qi Sea it will become irrelevant, because if you have a full Prismatic level body then you will literally maximize your realm jump and get 200-300 in stats minimum, as well as if you've reached Qi Perfection then you will have the Golden Sea foundation or whatever.
But still, for me the only thing that makes this very stupid is the fact that we are literally the top-tier genius and we can't even attempt to fight across a single realm.
All I want is Niki to give us an opportunity to use all the buffs, items, and stats we've acquired to at least attempt to do something that would be considered a legendary feat within the lore of the world.
Cause right now it's either:
a.) Fight a random PH (absolutely atomize them)
b.) Fight one of the other cultivators or Ruo (barely happens)
c.) Try to fight an Immortal, Shangtian, etc. (you get absolutely atomized)
