You have the luxury of seeing it after 3 or so reworks and transformations that completely changed game mechanics and lore multiple times between updates. Right now the system is more-or-less stable, if unnecessarily complicated and ever-shifting.
Story-wise we haven't gotten much main story stuff the last couple of updates but since the last thing you remember happens soon post-expedition, you actually have a lot of content to get to.
RO-wise it's a complete disaster so I would not even think about that.

If you are not a loser (Meimancer), There is no cucking. The things you have heard came from a fake sneakpeek someone made.
If someone is a Meimancer, Not only do they deserve to get nonconsensually cucked (watch while the entire sect runs a train on Mei Mei), they should also be subjected to every pain and humiliation possible and then put in an infinite death loop worse than Diavolo's.

Honestly, if Nicki keeps the same type of progression system for the next book, all these Wu Heir at EX can beat a LX or PX statements will completely lose their meaning.
Once we got Qi, the only limiting factor for us to breakthrough into the next stage (Early -> Middle -> Late -> Great Circle -> Qi Perfection) is the amount of Qi we have that we can invest into the auto-breakthrough.
So if the Wu Heir reached Qi Perfection and all Prismatic Body Star (150+ stats), when they breakthrough to Qi Sea they will have wildly different starting stats and unlocks than a Wu Heir who hasn't. So it's completely possible that at the end of this book or the start of the next one after we breakthrough we might be able to fight a LX right off the bat because our previous foundation was basically perfect.
Besides, the stages don't matter nearly as much to cultivators as they do for MA's, cause the Wu Heir who just becomes a cultivator and just invests all they had into high stats can absolutely demolish many top 500 PH's right away while not even being in the Middle of Qi Refining.

It is a Self Insert IF, The point is to roleplay, why do you think DnD players play Chaotic Evil PCs? Are they actually evil losers or are they just finding fun in being a type of character that feels badass and acts as a form of escapist fantasy that lets them escape the restrictions of their daily life? The type of character I like most is one that gives off the air of unrestrained freedom, one who lives according to their own feelings and is detached from wordly noise.
Many extremely evil characters naturally give off that feeling. For example I like Sukuna more than Gojo, not because he is evil but because he acts as though he has unrestrained freedom. You think I actually want to kill people or that I actually hate Mei Mei or that I actually think being Evil is "based"? Obviously Not, I am roleplaying even here on this thread, It's a persona. Even the Wu Heir Glaze is something I do to entertain myself and the people on this thread, It brings variety. If I EVER actually played through the Mei Mei and Ai romance and If Ruo wasn't so obnoxious and glazed, I would be glazing them too to bring variety. I like to say the most outrageous things I can think of, not because I actually think like that but because I find them fun.
I play my Wu Heir as an extremely evil psychopath because I can, I like that POMA actually allows you to play any type of character and offers unlimited customisation in character personality. It isn't like those half-a*sed IFs where even if you build an evil character, they still force your self insert to feel or care about someone that your character couldn't possibly care about. I am just vibing with the cruel brutal and demonic atmosphere of POMA. If I were to play Auraclash for example, I would be the biggest haremlord you can think of even though my Wu would never ever do that.
We are all having fun here, You don't need to personally seriously name-call someone. I really don't want to get into a real confrontation with you. If I said something that offended you, I am sorry for my behaviour.

I made this joke because I know you as the "You are your Wu heir, if he sucks you suck as well" guy and when I saw you as say that that being an "Being a Demon Maxxing No Romance Narcissistic Psychopath is Based and Godpilled", I just thought that if that Wu heir was real person that guy would kind of suck, and since you are your Wu heir, it means you suck and then I added the "roleplaying your life" and "TW having a wife at least" as some salt in the fictitious wound

I also just wanted to get back at you for calling me a loser, albeit inadvertently, so my solution was a joke that did not have mean anything deeper than the paper that was written on it.
And I had no idea (and am slightly unconvinced) calling some a loser is a faux pas that would warrant such a response, at not to this degree.
