Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

In the earlier stages of the game when Ruo would show feats MC wouldnt have been able to perform, i would have believed him. But in the current update where the MC has just grown so strong so fast, Now it just feels like Ruo is being pathetic and trying to overcompensate for his disbelief. He cant believe that someone can match his speed even in a mild manner, that and beating him in a casual contest. He was in control when he knew for sure he was the stronger one, now he's not sure and he's trying to delude himself. Bro probably went home immediately afterwards to chuck some more pills.

Little does he know that the MC was actually downplaying things so as not to make him feel bad. It’s more like ‘less than 10 per cent’.

And isnt this more like 60-65% of your 'strength'? 10% of your strength here is like you having 1000 in agility.

A He is snake, and if an outsider decides to wear their skin, then a snake they become
I don't think anyone is under the delusion that Sheng Jue is a good guy, the man literally snatches bodies, and practices cultivation arts that require the death and refinement of numerous people.

The few reasons why most people don't find it to be an issue is because the body he has snatched is that of one of our worst enemies or a stranger depending on choices, and at the very least hasn't attacked us at present. Plus with so few sources of cultivation know how outside of the existing factions, his involvement is needed to progress especially if our character is to acquire strength outside of our factions scope.

More or less. In terms of numbers, yes. But as we can sometimes see, a difference of 3–5 stats is already something like ‘two or three times stronger’ or ‘two or three times faster’; for example, against Muchen, a difference of 10 was enough to blow his arm to pieces with a single punch in terms of STR and to move so fast that his brain couldn’t process it in terms of AGI; in this case, perhaps 160 is much more than just ten times faster than 100.

I have one playthrough where im not giving him anything. He's not taking over He Gang, He's not getting Yang Gan. Man's gonna suffer in that zombie body as long as possible.

Same here. I currently have three save files: one with He Gang possessed and the other without; as for the third, the MC is a disciple of the Butterfly (no Yichen – the only thing that might be of interest there is the turtle).

As for the next update, to be honest, I wouldn’t even want that much new content; in fact, what I’d most like right now is for those damn new mechanics to be implemented – the Butterfly spells and He Gang’s Body Manual. Good heavens, I’m really looking forward to them; for me, that’s what will decide whether it’s worth going down these paths.

Mf tries to mind control you the moment he gets his new body

Iron Will enjoyers rise up.

Disregard Yichen's Aura? - Piece of Cake

Tank Soul Attacks without understanding what a Soul is? - Just a Minor Soul Injury

Tell the Devil to jag off after multiple Breakouts? - Mo Long wishes he had this perk

Save yourself from continuous embarrassment and cowardice? - Primal Terror my ***

Yeah and as far as I understand the difference in power actually becomes larger in relation to the same amount of point differences as you cross Stages and Realms.

So for Houtians more than a 10 point difference is different stages - EH 10-20, MH 20-30, LH 30-40, PH 40-50. So yeah it makes sense that a 10 point difference would blow Muchen's arm off - to him it's like Being a LH and meeting fists with a PH.

But if we look at Mortal scaling which goes from 1-10, realistically a 1 STR Mortal would be the weakest an active Mortal MA can be (still not weak by Mortal standards) while a 10 STR Mortal like we see in the Prologue can lift a 700lbs stone above their head. That's of course not counting the alchemical reinforcement Great Clan heirs go through and whatnot but it's the only estimate we have. I will assume that a 'weak' 1 STR Mortal MA can still manage to do 100lbs because otherwise they are NOT built for this life.

But as we all know, no matter how strong you are as a Mortal, you will never be able to explode someone's arm by hitting it even though you could be STR 10 and they STR 1. So crossing a Stage or Realm apparently matters a lot while the numbers might look the same.

Oh for sure if you look at the arena battles the stat checks are not all that high but you can end up crushing rib cages and exploding legs with the right stats

Another thing, DQ's Asura art boosts her physical abilities by a factor of 6 but If that were true, Tang Yichen would stand absolutely no chance against her.

Speaking of Yichen, I wonder whether he currently possesses any physical strength or whether he’s 100 per cent a spellcaster; of course, there’s the whole thing about MAs being both physically strong and spellcasters, but my doubt stems from the bit where Yichen says something along the lines of his body being nothing but skin and brittle bones, no longer strong enough to stand, and that he’s just pushing himself.

Yeah, it totally blanked my head that the scaling is exponential. And i ended up making "1+1=2, not 3" kinda statement.

Probably 100% spellcaster unless he has some high-level transformation art that can transform him to some physically powerful creature.

I imagine he sacrificed his bodily strength during the purge of the dragons. Like he sacrificed most of the points he put in on his strength, agility and vitality to be able to one shot the dragons.

Nicky already confirmed the factor of six statement is a hyperbole.
And as the attributes in PoMA seems to work in a exponential function, if we assume DQ base stats are 2.000 a six times factor could not necessarily be 12.000, but something in the likes, for example, 4.500.
Anyway it is already said to be a hyperbole by Nicky.

Huh didn't know that but our own asura art gets stronger the more devil breakouts you have so it should be similar for DQ, It don't even think it's a multiplier but a fixed amount like a 1.000 or something.
