You encountered one unfamiliar word, discovered that English contains words you haven't seen before, and immediately assembled a five-paragraph congressional hearing about it. You don't have to use neopronouns yourself, and you don't even have to like them, but turning “I saw a pronoun I don't personally use” into “THIS IS WOKE EXTREMISM” is an absolutely spectacular demonstration of how little it takes to ruin your day. You can tell they read an MTL novel (and/or played POMA/Aura Clash/Dao Ascension) and thought hey I could write something too. Chinatown settings aside, none of them put in the work to actually flesh out the actual cultivation part. Or know what world building is.

I absolutely hated 'gladiator: road to colosseum', it was just good enough in writing that I didn't drop it and read it the whole way through, biggest waste of my time ever. The whole story consists of you being a pathetic nobody who gets his *** kicked every second, there is only 2 moments you actually truly fight in an arena, the first one was actually decent though very short and the second was long and boring. The only time outside the arena you actually do anything is winning a bar fight and it gives you an achievement because you can only win with cheated stats, it basically expects you to be weak and get your *** handed to you and enjoy it. The absolute worst part about it was the girl who trains you, she is so insufferable and the whole time I was hoping I would eventually kick her *** but nope, even with maxed out stats you always get beat by her, why? cause **** you loser, that's why. The whole time I was reading I was like "oh my it'll probably get better soon, I really hope to be able to kick some ***" <- thoughts of a ****ing idiot who wasted his time
I typically find neopronouns silly, but when they're used for non-human characters and entities I'm fine with them, so I'm fine with it in SoH. It's not wokeness or whatever when they're used to denote otherness from humanity.

I heard you, and I respect creative fiction. But for me, incest is where I draw a hard line. When fiction romanticises it, it blurs a boundary that simply shouldn't be blurred. Every family has inherent power imbalances, trust issues, and dependencies, making it fundamentally different from other tropes. That's why, in serious literature, when it does appear, it's framed as a trauma, not as a love story. In those books, they show exactly WHY that taboo exists.
Some things just carry too much real world weight to be turned into a romantic trope. For a lot of readers, especially survivors, it's not edgy. It's wrong and alienating.
