I think the issue is that game just released a demo, so people who don't know anything about the game just discovered it to find out that the game actually has set sexualities for everyone. There's even a straight guy, Edgar, on Circe's route. I guess it can be jarring for people who don't expect things like this in VNs. I think they should put at least the main characters sexualities on the itchio page so people aren't confused going into the demo. I only knew about this because I follow their tumblr and happened to see a post about it. I think devs are too reliant on tumblr and assume this information will somehow get to everyone else. Who remembers the Andromeda Six tumblr that had a lot of cool lore and character information uploaded to it and then they deleted it years ago (cannot blame them some fandoms on tumblr are annoying)?

I wouldn't have been annoyed earlier if this were actually written straight up... Pun intended.

The over-reliance of authors and devs in the indie sphere on Tumblr for marketing and its consequences...

Infinity series, all the cultivation games, early CoG games (Lords of Aswick, Great Tournament, Squire's something something). If you mean romance-focused, well DDLC for VNs I guess? The problem is that most VNs for straight men from what I can see on itch seem to be mostly eroges if you're looking for stuff that isn't strictly smutty. CC Hill also has stuff for straight men only
