Update: Pillars of the Light

A/N: Partial update 2/4, its wordcount is around 18k words. Total update wordcount so far: ~32k words. The game total is around 130k.

The update is a WiP. Things can be added/changed later on. One path currently has more unique content than the other, it’s intentional.

Tumblr is gone (at least until the update is fully out), but I put all the snippets I’ve written in a single location here. Art and previews were reposted earlier on this thread.

I tested for bugs, but please report if anything is wrong

Update: When Twilight Strikes

A/N: Happy Chapter 13 release day! I'm so excited that it's finally here!! It's been nearly a year in the making, but we made it, everyone. You can play it HERE.

WHAT TO EXPECT.
  • Reminisce with [A] on how you met, your first impressions of each other, and what that has developed into
  • Learn more about Blane's backstory and why they have a fixation with the Rankings (spoiler alert, it might surprise you)
  • Hear about N's (tragic) childhood and their thoughts on your current relationship
  • Discuss the concept of immortality with K and learn why they keep pushing everyone away
  • Discover what happened the night Rylan was accused of murder while playing a game of 20 questions

Also, a few players have experienced bugs with the new chapter. In most cases, their game was not properly registering the romance lock statistics, despite meeting the requirements. Because of this, I've created a short Troubleshooting Guide if anyone runs into similar problems. Please read this before sending me an ask or DM.

Update: Pactbinder (Chapter 3)

Pleased to say that chapter 3 of Pactbinder, which covers most of the Pactbinder's first term at Hightower, is now live.

- Overall, the content added with this update is once again rather substantial; it's ~124k words long total.
- Overall, word count is at around ~292k words; I think the average playthrough is about 89k words, or ~30% of total word count.
- Outside of the content outlined below, I’ve further reworked the menu system to make it look a bit nicer as it accumulates information, plus added some title graphics for the book itself.

Features:

- Most of the Pactbinder’s first term, including a few classes and their first opportunities to practise each of the Masteries before committing to their first choice of magic.
- Signups for Societies, and their first session for each choice.
- A Halloween party during which absolutely nothing goes wrong.
- The Pactbinder’s first chance to roam Hightower freely and pursue their own interests and curiosities!
- Seriously, nothing goes wrong. I swear.
 
Update: Remnants of The Past (Act 3 Chapter 2)

A/N: Time to travel to the world of Valegon, so you'd better be ready to see a whole lot of pointy ears 😏

We're only just getting started with this act, but a few interesting things are already happening… and, of course, they come hand in hand with our favourite renegade. As always, they seem to be up to something, and like we could see at the end of Act 2, they might have changed their approach 😬.
 
Update: Honor Amongst Thieves

A/N: I have been working on fixing this update literally all night, but hopefully there aren't any game breaking issues anymore.

There are new things scattered throughout, as some of you already noticed, and there is a more cohesive and fleshed out sequence of events.
 
New IF: Goddess, I Beg of You

Summary:

The twin deities Silfira, Goddess of Fury, and Calix, God of Blood, have been at war since the world began.

After they fell, the two began to wake up as mortal reincarnations, in a process that outlasted the confines of time.

In the modern day, you are plagued by vivid dreams, and a malicious voice lives inside your mind, compelling you to hurt.

Your twin sister Topanga, younger by three minutes, is living through the same.

After a particularly rough night, your Mother moves the three of you to another town.

Soon, you learn you and Topanga are the mortal reincarnations of Silfira and Calix, bound by fate to fall by each other's hands.

However, the two of you manage to wrestle control of your bodies, just as both Silfira and Calix unleash a horde of nightmares and destruction upon the Earth.

Band with your sister and a trio of misfits to stop the end of the world and save your sister, just as she fights to save you.
 
New IF: Hold My - Oh Sh!t, Call 112! (Prologue; 1.9k words)

Summary:

Emergency medical services.

Most hope that they will never need them. Some call them as if they are taxis to the hospital.
From a heart attack to burned skin. From a paper cut to a pile up on the highway.
If you call them, they will come.

And now you will start your journey to become one of them.

Fresh out of high school you move to a new city to start your apprenticeship as a paramedic.

You need to learn how to manage a work-life-balance while working 48h/week, studying to actually know what to do, keeping fit, keep your househould clean (or not), manage your life with the little money you make, be responsible enough to actually feed yourself, keep in contact with your friends, try to integrate yourself into the station and find new friends (and maybe also love?) and if it is not enough already, try to develop healthy coping mechanism to cope with the things you are going to see… or don't.

In short: Try to manage every aspect of your life while also not failing your apprenticeship.

And please, don't kill your patients.

Features:

- Play as female, male or nonbinary. Be cis, trans or start your gender journey because you don't already have enough on your plate.
- Be gay, bi, pan or straight. Or rediscover your sexuality in a whole new way.
- Customize your apperance and personality.
- Be studious and be on top of your class or just scrab by and hope for the best (for you and your patients).
- Manage your flat. Keep it clean or not. Cook yourself or throw money out by ordering food.
- Manage your money.
- Manage your mental health.
- Build good or bad relationships with your classmates and co-workers. What reputation will you gain?
- Romance your best friend, your classmate, your teacher, your co-worker or the ER doctor. - Will they love you back or is your interest one-sided? Will your connection hold or will it break? (optional)
 
Update: Crash Course In You

Chapter 3 (for M!LS) is here!

Features:

- Face the consequences of the scandal that broke out in Chapter 2 with varying levels of success and maturity.
- Work on your acting and character development.
- Share feelings that both you and Lee Seol have been holding back <3.

A/N: Thank you all for waiting! F!LS has a large portion done but I'm hoping to add some more to balance the routes out before publishing it~

Next time, go on a reward vacation for the entire drama staff. Possible drunk shenanigans ensue~
 
Update: A Shriek of Ash and Fire (Update 23; 70k+ words)

A/N: Please take into account that some RO scenes are shared between the Rebel and Royal paths and the scenes following the ‘morning after’, with minor differences.

This only affects the Royal Despair’s Demise Path.

Features:

- If you are Revira’s Lady/Gentleman at Arms, find the crawler bewitched by her magic and rituals. She demands not loyalty born of duty but adoration.
- On Revira’s path, she refuses to share you with anyone.
- If you are Raith’s King’s Shadow, find the crawler given over to hedonism as the king opens the stores and demands celebration.
- On Raith’s path, he requires your attention and, in your case, doesn’t want to share it.
- If you are the Supreme Protector, you will hold a meeting and try to keep things together as Revira and her mysterious ally prowl the decks.
- As the Supreme Protector, depending on choices, you can spend time with Sera, Sera and Coireal, Coireal, Gibleti or General Thrayton. Here, you do not have to have previously started an RO to pair up with Gibleti or Thrayton. Gibleti is not picky. The General admires your rise to the position of Protector. Or, spend an evening with your Roachpede pals.
 
Update: Walls of Natrun

A/N: Walls of Natrun just received a 27K word update that advances the story, offers new allies, expands on several romances, adds new achievements and fixes an odd bug or two.

With that, Chapter Six is finally complete, at least in terms of having an official conclusion. I might expand on it later (even though it’s already over 100K words long) but I’ll focus on writing the next chapter for now.
 
Update: Running Out Of Time

A/N: Sorry for being a little inactive lately...but part one of chapter one is now live!

It’s a little short, but i wanted to get things rolling and i’m already working on the next update. the stats page has also had a complete revamp. lots of content warnings have also been added, so please make sure to read those in-game before continuing.

In this chapter, anticipate your first day at samay university, sort-of reunions and the orientation!
