EI have a question, in chapter 7 there is the option to say "I really like you" to the prince, but it is always gray for me no matter how many attempts I have made. Do you know if there is any way to release her?
Choose suicidal thoughts and it will open

Thank you! It really helped me. Also, do you know if the writer has a Tumblr or something? Considering that the site is going to close soon and I don't know if she'll transfer the game to Cogdemos

I'll tell you all about the best romance that never was.

Back in ye olde age of 2009, we were introduced to Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (the original idea made by Nomura that got turned into XV later)........

Nerds like us really liked to pair the protagonist of XIII (Lightning) and the protagonist of Versus XIII (Noctis) and awaited that dashing duo's appearance in many media of the franchise. We even started writing multiple fanfictions of them — do not judge me peasants! I wasn't a professional writer back then!

Alas, it did not happen. They did not even make a cameo appearance in Kingdom Hearts...

But that initial feeling, that want! Is still alive goshdangit! If that's not an unrequited love story from the fans' perspective, then I don't know what is!

And I know I'm off topic, but I don't care. My heart is nearing twenty years of bleeding for those adorable banters that never truly happened and no matter how many romances I read, nothing dampens the torment.....

It's kinda hard to pin point which one is the best ro, but I do love Ortega from Fallen Hero.
They have such a deep connection to sidestep. The longing, and everything is just perfect.
Most of the romance would get a bit boring once MC and the RO got together. But not with Ortega. Them and Sidestep are just perfect one another.

And Idk what it say about me, but I have a lot of RO that I dislike. Not dislike to the point of hating or anything, more so it earn me a couple of eye rolls.

- Seven. He is just immature. All of his jab remind me of middle scholer. It's hard to believe he's in his mid 20's (CMIIW) when he act like that.

- Xelef. I don't have problem with ro who's sleeping around. Never see myself in as MC so I dont have a weird obsession like what the author try to accused. (Horrible way of responding criticism btw)

It just his action at the end is so out of pocket. Like Xelef and the crown still exchanging letter, and both still actively flirting like indicating that their 'situationship' or whatever is remain the same, yet Xelef suddenly decided to sleeping around in order to forget the crown? Where did that come from?
If you want try to forget the crown, why bother sending the crown the letter and replying to the letter in a first place? Just ditch the kingdom and do your assasin bussiness or whatever.

And oh they even insult the fling after the deed I actually feel bad for the fling.

- That one childhood friend from professor magical student IF that I forgot the name of. Not a single a redeemable quality of this person whatsoever. Taking credit of MC's work, and on top of that backstabbing their own friends. Shocking that they're not a villain already.

It's strange that no one mentioned in the worst ROs His F****** Majesty King Leomar of Param.
Maybe for some people it's a good the character for romance option... If you like that kind of angst, but for me it's BIG no. Like, how the hell am I supposed to imagine their relationship continuing? Go to therapy with your partner to process the trauma and then live happily with him after what he did? xD in the Middle Ages they didn't even have therapy, hmm...

Haven't finished the game yet, but there was a vn that got released quite recently "sigh of the abyss".

While I usually play games for their plot and not the romance, honestly Sylas got me good.
We don't know exactly who she works for, but it's supposed to be some weird thieves guild that all have matching scars for some reason?? When you meet her, she's banters a lot and stuff (not in a flirty way) but when you flirt at ALL, or really just be nice to her in some scenes, she gets all shy. And it's not in the anime way, it's kinda endearing (no offense to the anime lovers)

The flirting and her being flustered also happens later in the game because it's not romance driven, and it feels way more organic than her randomly being smitted with you. I appreciate this greatly in games, having to wait and not being able to fluster a person before they even know eachother. (who even flirts with people at a first meeting..?)
Also the scene where you're trying to find a cat with her is real adorable to me.

She's also asexual like me, and representation of us is kind of rare in media so i might be biased lol.

Anyways for now i recommend the game. Plot driven, voice acted in some scenes, artstyle is really good, game is set in some fantasy reinassance city i think? What else could you ask for? A thing that may drive people away is the fact that mc is genderlocked as a woman.

I will edit this recommendation once i finish the game, because an ending can make or break it. I don't think giving it a try will hurt though? Its on f95 for anyone interested, the version on rin is outdated and it has a gamebreaking bug (was really buggy on release). Hopefully the f95 version is fine.

Edit:finished it today, and the ending was a bit underwhelming imo. i expected something a bit more emotional, and something longer, but tbh compared to 90% of the vns on itch io its pretty good. no gamebreaking bugs for me, but this game has like 100 different routes and variables so who knows where you can find a gamebreaking bug. maybe my ending is just bad? this story isnt linear, so maybe i just got a flatter one lol. i know the author was really rushed to finish it too, since it was supposed to be released in like late 2023 but got released almost a year later, because the ending really does look rushed tbh. i don't mind it so much. Would i pay the 17 usd for this though? If i lived in a 1st world country and the only thing i had to sacrifice for it was like 4 starbucks coffees, then maybe, at least to support the author.
