Is there any way to prevent older saves from causing glitches in newer versions of the game?

I used claude Ai to modify the save compact able with new version,0.5 4 has new variable the previous version has not, So Ai gets the job done for me.

Upload both version html and saves to claude and pinpoint the error in screenshot from current version, you know from there.
