how does Napoleon's favor works that accumulated during the italian campaign? if not wrong you can get 2 - 3 that you can exchange later for promotion to evacuating egypt, my problem is that did you only get one from Napoleon? like if i ask for promotion at the start of Egypt it seem i can't get Dumas to evacuate later, in reverse you can keep the Favor to get Dumas out but with the risk of not having high enough rank later for Marshal promotion.

To save Dumas you need:
- Napoleon's Dego favour + telling the truth about Josephine's affair
- Dumas becoming your friend and trusting you (which is easy, just agree with his opinions, fight bravely, and do some stuff he likes, such as paying for your goods instead of plundering)

As a cavalry officer, you can simultaneously use the Dego favour to save Dumas while still getting a promotion (without burning the favour). To get the latter, just govern Treviso well in Italy and Napoleon will put you on auto-promotion to General of Brigade before sailing for Egypt.

Yeah hopefully Cata release another update next early month, i honestly feel the daily updates stop on really bad time in the game, i want to see how we deal with bernadotte. Where do I get the option to save dumas? Do i ask napolean? Could you give an elaborate guide please

If you satisfy the above conditions, there will be an option called "I have... a favor to ask" when Napoleon invites you to leave Egypt. That's when you can ask to have Dumas join you.
