"Shadow of the Eagles" 0.5.7 - Paul Wang

What's New:
- Downtime between Austerlitz and the War of the 4th Coalition
- Battle of Jena - Auerstedt

Tip:
- Only Marshals fight at Auerstedt, all other ranks fight at Jena.
- Marshal MCs should max out III Corps' stats to win like Davout at Auerstedt. Be prepared to pay through your nose.
My save from 0.5.4 isn't working. I will admit to have to have boosted my stats on that run. Should I restart from the very beginning on 0.5.6?

New updates always break old saves (since they introduce new variables), so yes you have to restart from the beginning.

Or ask an AI to fix your missing variables, like someone in this thread did :p

I used claude Ai to modify the save compact able with new version,0.5 4 has new variable the previous version has not, So Ai gets the job done for me.
Sorry to bother you mate @Lokiolf , but I can't seem to be able to do the fix myself. Will you mind if I send you the buggy savefile myself? (the one for 0.5.4 isn't wourking in 0.5.6)

Edit: Nevermind, I have finally made it work

So guys, how do you remake Davout decisive victory at auerstedt?
Max out III Corps' stats by upgrading everything (officers, staff, artillery, supplies), skip the Bernadotte visit and move your corps to Auerstedt early, let Friant and Gudin handle the opening fight, do 2 defensive actions, then counterattack.

If you do everything right, you'll capture tens of thousands of prisoners, a stack of Prussian regimental colours higher than your head, and the Duke of Brunswick himself as your prisoner. Napoleon will spend almost the entire post-battle bulletin praising you as the heir to Frederick the Great.

Having played both paths, Jena is a tiny speck compared to Auerstedt. You get to do one offensive action and Napoleon carries the rest, if you command a division in Soult's IV Corps as a General.

Napoleon will spend almost the entire post-battle bulletin praising you as the heir to Frederick the Great.
He will go even harder for the female marshal:
"Not for centuries has a woman of such martial talent strode the world," the Emperor's proclamation declares. "By her example, she demonstrates an extraordinary capacity far beyond that normally possible for those of her ***. Not even Jeanne d'Arc could boast of a victory against such odds. Not even Zenobia could claim such genius. Were all women of Marshal ******'s capacity, Europe would be a continent ruled solely by Queens and Empresses, and rightfully so!"

Paul had said that it was possible to exceed davouts achievement, how do you do it?
See my post above.

Capturing the Duke of Brunswick *is* exceeding Davout's achievement. In reality, he escaped from the battle, albeit mortally wounded, and died in Ottensen on 10 November 1806. In this game, you can have him laid in a stretcher at your feet, if you win a total victory.

How to win a total victory? I already win keep by defending but there no scene we capture him or maybe I just not reading throughly

Did you fully upgrade III Corps? Did you arrive at Auerstedt early? Did you let Friant and Gudin handle the opening fight? Did you counterattack when the text indicates the enemy is on the backfoot?
