Eh. I can handle all the infantising of the MC since she's hardcoded to be shy and has been sheltered, and shoved away into a nunnery for most of her life before being plucked out of it days before she becomes of age. It makes sense, especially since the person who comes to "save" her is basically an uncle she looked up to. But what I can't stand is the illusion of choice. You can either be: anxious, scared or terrified. Are those all synonyms of one another? Absolutely. Because each choice is only picking from levels of fear, and if you do manage to find a choice where your character isn't entirely nervous... no you didn't! Because she'll be back to being wary again and absolutely NOTHING matters, except for which romance route you go down. At that point, the author should just write a book, or a fanfiction as a Targaryen insert.
