Yeah basically reading a book and not CYOA
Well, we aren't more powerful, we are just a homeless person doing errands for a criminal boss if we go this way. But I would have wanted to see MC to try to talk with the pimp instead, threatening her or convincing her. I would've taken a L on the quest if it meant actually helping that woman. But alas, returning victim to her abusers and putting a baby at risk is the good guy move, or the way of the least hustle for the MC. I'm still so pissed off about that scene.
Mhm. With each new Wip, I feel like they care less and less about making it interactive.
I don't enjoy the game too much when there are only two choices (Tale of Crowns or when there are many choices but they are mostly irrelevant for the story (Wayhaven).
Sometimes I wonder how can someone write something like this, read it and think it's OK. Like holy disconnected from reality batman.
Oh, the maman will also give you a lecture about protecting her girls if you ask her what she does. But it's not like there are bouncers present in the apartments, it's that some muscle will be sent to beat up a john who beat up a girl. Big help to the already beaten girl, frfr, and def helps if she was killed, but not like that ever happens /s. I'm just so livid about that scene, I'm still so sick. This leftist "*** work is work" has done so much for grooming young women into prostitution and camming and OF, it's so sick. Oh, there was also that game, Rent-a-Vice, it was a very thinly veiled pro-legalize piece, pretending that nordic model doesn't exist. Also was very sick with that one.
I believe s*x work is work, but 99.99% of the time prostituti0n is *** trafficking. Like it's not someone choosing to sell their nudes on Only Fans, it's women being forced (often against their will and consent) to have *** with random men for money and the majority of the time they don't even see a penny of that money because it all goes to their pimps.
Not to mention the whole 'bad neighbourhood' thing also gave me the ick because *** trafficking could happen in rich affluent neighbourhoods as well and the victims are treated just as badly.
Well, the problem with OF is that it can't just stay lil spicy nudes, can it? You have to do more and more outlandish stunts, like going through a 100, a 1000 men to stay relevant. Also only a very, very small percent makes ton of money, most will get scraps and risks of being outed, and also some mental traumas. Also these sites can be an entry way into "actual trade" with the accounts being an advertisement, pimping OF ladies is a flourishing trade. I have only compassion for women, who found themselves in this situation, be it because they were forced or because they had some silly notions and couldn't stop themselves in time, but even selling those nudes ain't a real job, that poor Bonnie lass has nothing but emptiness behind her eyes. I do however understand, that we may not be able to govern with law every little thing, but we do need to take a stand that no part of people's sexuality should be available for commercialization. Not every choice a woman can make leads to her liberation, we should discourage the behaviors that put women into risky situations, it can be done without shaming those who ended up in those situations.
And, well, even if there is a 0,01% of women who are into this, we can't have legislation that promotes trafficking and barriers on the exiting the prostitution like legalize and de-criminalization do, can we?
Yes, that's because it's easier to write in ChoiceScript than in Twine. In ChoiceScript, you just need to know a few commands, organize your indents, and that's it—the sky's the limit for your imagination. For Twine, to make something decent, you need to know how to structure it with HTML, then style it with CSS, and finally add functionality with JS, not to mention everything you need to learn about SugarCube.
Basically, ChoiceScript is like writing on Wattpad, and Twine is literally being an independent game developer, which is why many WIPs end up abandoned.

Yeah, I don't agree with this. Because it always leads to being shamed and having rights taken away because 'silly women can't be trusted to think for themselves'. In fact, your whole comment reeks of misogyny and slut-shaming. I don't care what a woman choses to do with her body, I care that she has that choice to do it. If a woman wants to sleep with 100 men for her only fans, then let her do it. I've only heard of one case of this happening btw, and it was all consensual, which is the most important part. The problem with *** trafficking is the lack of consent. The situations like the ones described in the book are usually people preying on women with no other place to go/turn to and selling them on the streets for money. Is that a huge issue? Yes. But pretending that all forms of *** work are equal to prostitution and *** trafficking is disingenuous.
Why is always women can't be trusted not to make risky decisions and never men? There's a ton of guys in *** work as well, but this topic never comes up with them because the basis of anti-*** work feminism is the same puritan ideal of women shouldn't enjoy or want ***, just worded in a 'progressive' and 'liberative' way.
Most WIPs are done by teenagers, so the ridiculous background and weird fonts rarely phase me. Women constitute 80% of people involved in *** trade on average, and tbh, I don't care for men's problems, men create problems for both men and women, and they can sort their own between themselves.
And, well, drugs, self-harm and suicide are also choices. Somehow we understand that people doing those to themselves are in need of help. People, who think that being sold for rape is a right way to treat them (if they won't have *** without payment then it's coerced ***, and coerced *** is rape, thus selling *** is impossible) are also in need of help, simple is that. Some choices are inherently self-destructive and shouldn't be promoted by the society, even if they stay legal.
I don't really have more to say, if you think me misogynist, then there is really nothing I get across with such a level of miscommunication going on.

Hell, they don't even have to do that. Just follow the example of other authors who has a good design (God-Cursed is very nice for example). Once I pointed out to one that some people find it hard to read burgundy text on a black background and that it would be good to add other themes. They were annoyed: it fits so good the vibe of the story, weee
If they have ambition to make a game themselves in Twine, not Cogd, then they should think for a moment about the reader, so that reading a text game is not torture.

Cogdemos (allows you to read but gets perpetually stuck on some scenes because the site can't load even tho it has 0 ads and not image heavy) or Twine (you suffer from terrible aesthetics but at least you know when the demo ends)
