Way walkers university 3 coming soon. Someday. When was the last update on the thing anyway? One story that left me disappointed is way walkers, it's been like 12 years and still not done and ends in such a cliffhanger way I regret reading, nowadays I stay away from stories if they are to be more than one book
The POVs and her Tumblr reveal that MC's band did not cheat and iirc G's first ever POV reveals G didn't help them/ the band didn't cheat. I also remember her Tumblr also confirming this. The spoiler for people who haven't read the POVs/read too much into the game: G wants MC to replace them/take turns with being the most popular so they can live a somewhat normal life. Despite being a fan of MC, G's intentions are not pure. They want MC's life to be miserable while they lounge somewhere occasionally. This is somehow more understandable than Seven's behavior towards MC. I guess because it's rational?
I'm pretty sure there are hints of this throughout the game and POVS. I even remember reading on her tumblr that MC's band won without cheating. I'll need to go back and look but G isn't typically the one I go for in the game + make up scenarios in my head about. I'll compile all evidence I can gather when I have time. Not saying all I said was true, but I truly do not care enough about G to have made all of this up.There's nothing in the POVs to confirm that G did or did not cheat. It's open to personal interpretation and theorization at this point. I read all of them and I'm personally convinced that they DID.I also don't know where you got that G wants MC to replace them?? That makes no sense to me. Fame makes G miserable but they also are attached to it for various reasons.
I love Infamous lol I think all of the characters are so complex and interesting, I love reading their POVs and trying to figure out their goals, their secrets, why they're acting the way they're acting. It's like a fun little puzzle. Some of those people are ****ing infuriating (Seven....Avina..... I'm looking at you) and even then, they're characters I love to hate.
I think where people get really frustrated with Amy is that they want answers and conclusions about every character and forget that this is a WIP where you're not supposed to know everything yet. On Tumblr she mostly gives non-answers, says cryptic stuff and makes jokes but that's because unlike the authors who reveal everything about the ROs before even bothering to write it in the game, she wants us to find out while actually playing. Plus, she knows her characters are divisive and embraces all sorts of opposing opinions on them, which may seem contradictory but I see it as her knowing her place as a writer (which is to give readers breathing room, not tell them what to think all the time).
I think there are def valid criticisms of Infamous — That the game is too harsh on MC, that some parts only make sense if MC is a pushover. I still find it enjoyable despite all that tho
Infamous is a WIP, 4 chapters have been released and it is supposed to consist of 20. Anything said about the game could be false by the end ( I mean, who could’ve guessed the later plot points and twists in fallen hero?). Anything in bold is opinion/conjecture. I mean, I really did this to myself posting opinions on a WIP without a ‘these are all my opinions’ note somewhere. I mistakenly assumed that everyone also assumed this because we’re only on chapter 4. I’ll be sure to mark when I’m speaking in facts and opinions. Oh I knew it was cooked, because it was like 2 years for the demo to get updated, and the demo was rewritten lol. I did not expect much after the demo but as not updated but “still working on it” like I get life gets in the way, but let’s all be honest.
Just joined, and only came defending infamous…. Going through all that trouble…. With that wall of text….Infamous is a WIP, 4 chapters have been released and it is supposed to consist of 20. Honestly, outside of subtext, it really is hard to prove much regarding the cheating incident. G has shown several times in their POVs that they chose MC. I never denied that. I personally do not believe that they cheated to get MC’s band on the show, they clearly do not hold enough power to do that through what we’ve seen in the chapters so far. The author’s posts have been purposefully left vague though there was one implying that fans would not be disappointed when she was being bombarded with anon hate (regarding MC being a loser). I’m not about to search through hundreds of her posts again and tumblr’s search function has never been good.
G has been shown several times in POVs of theirs thinking about the guilt they have for choosing MC. I never denied that. This is left vague, just as most other POVs, to not spoil the plot before it happens. If the characters do not know whether or not cheating was involved, then the readers won’t know either. I personally do not believe that they cheated to get MC’s band on the show, they clearly do not hold enough power to do that through what we’ve seen in the chapters so far. Victor holds too much over G for G to have a say in anything, except maybe even getting them in the contest in the first place. Bands had to apply to even attempt getting on the show. The concert at the beginning where G says they’re a fan? I think G got them on there, through one of their demos they submitted (though, this does not really disprove the sentiment that MC is a loser if they only got in through a recommendation…). There’s also a lot more hints throughout Infamous itself and G’s POVs that do not add up to G helping them cheat. I think G latched onto MC to finally feel something again. They lost any real drive they had towards music. Now, this is where we truly get into complete non-canon things, in one of Blake’s future POVs they have a discussion about how Blake learned over time that they didn’t cheat, though this could also mean that Blake knows MC's band themselves did not cheat (and at one point in another POV Blake isn’t actually entirely sure if cheating actually occurred, but it did help them get onto BOTB). I say all this as someone who does not trust G and knows that they’re probably one of the worst members of the cast. G has guilt for choosing MC, and while it could be that they did help MC by cheating them onto the show, I think it’s more to do why they helped MC. The author clearly leaves a lot out so we can get the reveal when it is supposed to occur in the game. Everything at this point in the story points to the show being rigged, not the band and G's language regarding MC and the cheating does not read to me as them cheating, but feeling like an terrible person for even getting them on the show. But I can be wrong.
As for the MC replacement theory, I misspoke. And assumed based off of a single comment G had in their head. I admit to that. The POVs and game would once again not say anything that important this early on. The band “cheating” and why G chose them is obviously going to be a huge plot point through out almost the entire game. I got this interpretation through various tumblr post that I am not searching for and doubt with how the author speaks online the posts are going to be anything tangible. When the author was being attacked for MC being a “loser”, she made a few vague posts about how fans would not be disappointed and let’s hope she’s right. Now, for the actual full reason as to why I thought G wanted MC to replace them, if only for a bit? G actually mentions this idea in a POV, not saying that this was their initial intention for MC but they did bring it up at one point. G’s POVs are supposed to be vague due to spoilers but also because G does not actually know they are or what they want. They lack an identity of their own and abuse alcohol and drugs to forget and ignore their issues. This also would add up considering how tired and jaded G has become. They need a break and having someone be almost as popular as them would allow G to take somewhat of a break. There are also many hints in scenes that did not get POVs for G but you know...its all subtext/left up to the player and I am not going back and replaying the game until chapter 5.
Again, I’m very sorry I presented all my feelings and theories as fact. That’s what others did here too so I thought we were all just speculating. The MC could very well be a huge loser and I wonder how many people will drop the game when that gets revealed (honestly, my MC would quit if it got revealed they didn't win to get on BOTB without help) And I just know that if not for Triple getting drunk and failing a performance and The Young and Reckless(idr their name..) being under aged, MC's band would've been in the bottom SOMEHOW lmao. I THOUGHT WE ALL KNEW WE WERE CONSPIRACY THEORISTS.

Woah! I didn't expect you to come back with such a long answer. I appreciate it tho cuz I enjoy seeing different perspectives on the characters.Infamous is a WIP, 4 chapters have been released and it is supposed to consist of 20. I'm giving the author some credence that she knows what she's doing and assuming the best of her. I've mostly said negative things about the game.Just joined, and only came defending infamous…. Going through all that trouble…. With that wall of text….
Defending any author is crazy amy could literally change her story in any way then you'd look goofy you can't winJust joined, and only came defending infamous…. Going through all that trouble…. With that wall of text….
Yeah, I'm going to be more careful now. I go in assuming everyone is on the same page and that isn't true. I appreciate your thoughts and theories.Woah! I didn't expect you to come back with such a long answer. I appreciate it tho cuz I enjoy seeing different perspectives on the characters.
Your previous comments did sound like you were stating a fact, and the person who had replied to you also seemed to think you were being factual, so I just wanted to clear up some confusion.
Your point that G doesn't have enough power to cheat is imo the strongest argument for their innocence. I can't argue with that.
Still, my personal take is G pulled strings with Viktor to get Blake off the show, and MC got in because they were second place. Then because of the fight with Blake, Viktor punished G by letting Blake's band participate. That's why G acts all betrayed towards Viktor when they find out Blake will join the show. There's no proof of any of that, I just think it seems realistic to G and Viktor's dynamic lol. I don't think if this were true, it would make MC a loser, but... I'm aware some readers would probably flip out.
The "I chose you because I need you" line is interesting. You think G could have chosen MC for the show knowing Viktor is looking to replace them sometime in the future and they thought MC might catch his eye? And they want that because it would get Viktor off their back a bit?Now that I put thought into it, that... actually would make sense. You know what, I kinda see your point now lol
Most of my defending is assuming she knows what she is doing as an author. I've already stated in several posts that I cannot be too sure of whether or not she's going to go somewhere I'll like with the game/several plot points. I felt like I was being too negative towards her/her work in some of them. To hear that it's come off as the opposite is actually funny. When talking to my sister about Infamous it apparently sounds like I hate the game lol. I do...some parts of it.Defending any author is crazy amy could literally change her story in any way then you'd look goofy you can't win![]()
I don't think it was too negative maybe it could have been worded better but it's your opinion you have a right to it just like everybody does on the forum even if I don't agree with some people on here or not I ignore and move on at the End of the day that's how it be.Most of my defending is assuming she knows what she is doing as an author. The post that finally had someone saying I was defending her too much was actually a post defending a theory I had. Did anyone actually fully read it? I have insulted Infamous many times. These thoughts, I wrote them for a thread about disappointments. Other people have defended Infamous in response to MY posts, defending the plot points I criticized. In the long post, I also made fun of the game and showed that I did not have full faith in it. I doubt her constantly while also reminding myself that she can't be completely that terrible to her audience. If you don't like some of it that's okay as well for example I like one piece but I hate punk hazard but I like reading one piece it's valid to have an opinion on something but remember we are here to read ahead and sometimes there is gonna be things we aren't gonna like.
Just be respectful and don't do absolutely wild takes because that might get you flammed on here lmao especially concerning popular wips like infamous.
Amy might not know in the future or she might frankly nobody knows so I'm just warning you defending authors is gonna get your hopes up if they don't deliver what you expected.

It honestly feels like cherry picking at this point, lol. There's been multiple times now where people have responded to my posts defending Amy and nothing has been said but the second I post a theory and apologize for not disclosing that I wasn't speaking in fact, suddenly I'm defending the author.I was defending my own stupidity/cluelessness. I ended off near the end of my response to you with a statement implying that Amy was lying that MC was at the top/won the first challenge. I even challenge my own theory and once again defend the people who think MC is a loser because lets be honest atp they are. Do I need to throw insults at the author or call a character a slur to show I dislike the story? They definitely didn't read what you said cuz you didnt defend ****I'm the one who defended it, and I stand by it. Being a hater is too easy, sometimes you gotta take the risk of loving something. Builds character.
I'm aware this isn't the "Stories you loved for a reason" thread though, so I actually actively tried to reign in the gushing. Perhaps a failed attempt.
I think you were just an easier target to poke fun at cuz your account is new, and mine is not. And people can be pretty allergic to reading (which is kinda funny, in a forum centered around text-based games). It's not that deep, best to ignore and move onIt honestly feels like cherry picking at this point, lol. Isn't that literally what I just told the other person? You're not beating the illiterate allegations.Just found it suspicious and funny a new account was made just to defend it.
