I hate MC's band (except Orion, I love Orion) and I hope there's an option for MC to go solo. I can't hate Seven (be angry, yes, hate him, no) because I hate how MC stayed in the band even after the band turned Seven into a background member: Seriously MC, you let that bunch of idiots do that to your best friend/partner? I would have left the band along with Seven, becoming the sole singer and Seven the lead guitarist (Seven is a guitarist in the game, right? ); Basically, following the advice that MC singing solo is better, but without betraying my best friend/partner and much less turning Seven into a useless and background member.

I play as an MC who voted against this nonsense the band pulled, and in my headcanon she's planning to go solo as soon as BOTB ends (I hope that's possible)... Actually, I remember Orion saying he would follow MC if MC went solo... Does anyone remember where he said that, or am I hallucinating?
MC isn't a loser, the band is. When I first played, I remember the characters saying on several occasions that basically MC is the real star and the band doesn't really matter, to the point that I started to feel secondhand embarrassment and very uncomfortable.

One of my biggest frustrations with IF authors, besides the countless others, is when they come up with a cool idea, make a tumblr for it, hype up readers saying the next update will have this and that, and then they just disappear.

This is LITERALLY what happened with the Midnight Sun if. This was one of the WIPs that I liked the most, especially the ideas the author was showing on Tumblr... But the author hasn't posted anything in 10 months. I'm tired of these authors doing this.

There was also another WIP called Custody that did the same thing. Lots of good ideas, but then they started lying about posting demo previews, etc. Any veteran in the IF world knows that this game now has a 0.1% chance of being released.
After Custody wip, I lost all my patience and refuse to follow any WIP that doesn't have a demo And I also unfollow any author who starts not keeping their promises.

You basically articulated my feelings on the matter. I mean, is Seven mature? No. Would I be pissed off af if my significant other\ best friend didn't stand by me but by those who actively knew I had a dream to make music but chose to make me feel small and insignificant? You bet I would! I have two plans: steal Vic from G and become a power couple, go solo. OR Steal Orion, go solo, let 'the friends' rot on their own without their lead singer\songwriter (yea, I have been hogging all the leadership points left and right)

This is literally my MC HAHAHAHAHA
I'm going to steal Orion (and marry him, of course ), become friends with Seven again (Cry, Avina, cry ), go solo and and never look at those losers in the band again

Well to me throwing their bestie or lover under the bus to please people is pretty straightforward. If she said that MC is a people-pleaser, I would've bought it. But if she says they are hard to read and we actually have introvert\extrovert and genuine\sarcastic stats IN GAME? Like, gurl, you are actually letting us make a MC who is super open... (at least, on paper)

Nothing in Infamous makes sense. MC is closer to August than to their LIFELONG friends. Lucy raised MC, yet nobody talks about it. Seven notices every detail, but not MC's alcoholism? And there are so many holes in the plot that it gives me a headache

This is an matter of show but don't tell the game tell us the band and the Mc are best friends but we don't really have any proof of it like man what type of friend votes off their other friend ? Especially one that has an close relationship with your main attraction like what was the thought process behind that frankly stupid reason. I don't hate Seven dislike yes irritated also yes since they seem so immature like an toddler throwing an tantrum but the very least their kind of amusing but the band I truly hate not just because of the plot holes and stupidity but rather because they are so goddam boring. Which is why I like August their new to us and we can decide on how respond to them truly my favourite character alongside Orianna.

Haven’t touched infamous in a year+, but MC could’ve done more in that situation yes… but my hate for seven still see them as so petty, and immature.

At the end of the day, it’s common in the music industry, but I can see where people blame MC for not doing enough. I just do not see it as nonsense, it happens so it was just business in my eyes. They just didn’t have the guts to fully pull the trigger and kick seven out lol.

Honestly yeah what pisses me off is not why they did it but rather how cowardly they act during the incident. Instead of talking calmly and explaining their reasoning to seven like adults they just hold a vote and kick them out ??

It’s because they wanted to force seven to leave instead of kicking them. So they can say seven left. It happened in real life forgot the band, but they had brought in another songwriter, and slowly started taking away the original writer work. Them doing nothing, they’ll feel the need to leave since there’s nothing to do. The band can say the person left on their own will, and not be the bad guys. That’s what they wanted to do to say first as a background singer, then we won’t need you on this song etc.

Oh, it does happen a lot, but the fact that we can have a) MC being against it and b) MC staying despite being against it, will never not rub me the wrong way. Like if MC + Seven are the creative brains of the band, what would've the rest did if MC actually had a spine? A pointless question, I know; the friends probably had an inkling MC didn't have the guts to ditch them (and that's why I will do that in every single one of my playthroughs )

Seven is immature and petty but imo they are justified to feel that way because they lost not just co-workers but their closest friends + their partner. Plus, the band either knew how it will be perceived and did that, thus they are shtty friends, or the band didn't know and then they are uncaring.

I just wish Amy had already revealed the past scene where the band demotes Seven so that we can finally see wtf happened, because at this point my drunk, slutty and chill MC who didn't vote Seven out and still treats them with casual kindness, doesn't at all align with whatever they did before, and it's just disorientating.

Honestly, I reckon Amy should have just made it a linear choice that we voted for ourselves to be the lead singer alone so there wasn't so much annoying drama for MC's that didn't vote them out--and then gave us choices as to why we did it. Yes, you can say "well your MC was a people pleaser and would do anything for the band, and maybe now they don't" but that's just jumping through hoops at this point. Especially since Seven ghosted us without sitting down to discuss what happened if MC really was known to be so weak willed and let the band walk all over them (and Seven would be aware of MC's lack of spine since the two were basically suckling off of one another for sustenance). If I felt like my doormat best friend since childhood (and possible lover) was being bullied by my so called friends into trying to separate me from them, but my bf still didn't vote me out, I wouldn't let that just happen and **** our mutuals. I'd get mad and try to give them a wake up call at the very least!

It's Amy's job to make us suspicious of the band's intentions, but she doesn't do it. She just writes random thoughts and the point of view of an MC who is blind to everything going on around them

I agree, but Amy said on Tumblr that's basically what the band did: They turned Seven into a background singer.... Which simply means that he had been removed from the band because even the role of backing vocalist was already held by another band member (I don't remember which one). The same thing that @God said.
That's why I hate all the band members (Except Orion. And August, I think...) and I can't hate Seven because, in MY OPINION, he's totally justified in being angry (Yes, there are some things he does that are idiotic and immature, like not even trying to talk to MC about what the band did).

Definitely, I'd never talk to the people who demoted me again. But I still think it makes absolutely no sense to toss away an entire friendship/relationship--especially without ever blowing up and getting angry, and just ghosting the MC altogether--when the MC didn't vote for them and was apparently renown for being spineless and a doormat, and both the MC and Seven were so obsessed with one another they even got matching tattoos they kept to this day. Idk. Maybe I just care about closure, or my best friend more then this fictional wet cat lol.

I am blaming it on the fact that their frontal cortex wasn't fully developed back then (tho lbr I am unsure if it is developed NOW) — I did some ish in my teens–21-ish that now make me cringe HARD.

Idk if she means to write them as nice but delulu, but I read them as creepy cult-like co-dependent bunch anyway. Imo, ppl on the set side-eyeing them for being a bit too close are kinda right.

Above all this, What i cant accept is the fact that 23-24 year olds were this immature and unprofessional. Tbh, they still are and one of them is a mother now and fortunately left. Orion\a and MC are the only thing holding this band together.

ok i could be wrong as i have read infamous and tumblr info properly long time ago but i remember mc checking up on seven after the voting, maybe multiple times, and seven internalizing what they felt. sure mc was naive to think anyone can be ok with such demotion but knowing how crazy and codependent these two were about each other in lovers route, if seven opened up about what they felt, i think the mc would have left the band along with seven (my mc would have, can't be sure about the default one). i do believe mc should have at least called out the voting and those "friends", it was very spineless behaviour. but i would like to give the benefit of the doubt because canon mc considered the band her family and knowing her biological family issues, i think it was a critical situation for the mc to be in but still it was spineless and passive. this is my personal opinion, i am glad seven internalized what they felt because i don't want mc making sacrifices like potentially leaving the band for such an immature *** (i said what i said) but yeah i don't like the band, i want her to leave the band for her sake. i don't want mc making life altering decisions for a partner internalizing issues, then exploding and saying the worst things possible (i could remember wrong about this tumblr info), ghosting for a significant time and finally, sleeping with their mutuals, which for me is the final and permanent nail in the coffin. seven breaking up with the mc is possibly the kindest thing they have done in this entire mess
