What is an immediate red flag for you guys?

Heart's Choice has no business existing imo. I cannot speak for all of them but how come the romances tend to be not as good as romances from games where that is not the main focus? Also the need to wait or buy to play stories to have explicit stories on the app store doesn't make sense considering a lot of Heart's Choice games do not include explicit content and if they do it is hardly racier than some romances I've played that are not included as a Heart's Choice game.

Out of curiousity, did the author remove fMC romance options from the game? I remember there being more, but it's been a looong time since I played POMA
Here's the recent state of poma romance,
Im not sure If the removals are temporary or permanent so keep that in mind.

Ros

Ai (Mmc) He Mei (Mmc)
Yue Yan (MC Opposite Gender) Tang Ruo (GS)
Not sure about this one: Yuan Fang possesing He Gang body (Fmc)

Obs: Tang Ruo was originally a male character instead of a gender-selectable one and i really cant see him as anything other than that.

Flings

Su De (MC Opposite gender)
Wu Dong Event (One for each MC)

Removed or Special Case

Lei Xiwen (Fmc) Jing Guo (Fmc) Caihong (Mmc) Tigress (Mmc, currently on limbo with rumors of a rework and a gender-selectable option)

I think I played like, just two of em? And they are pretty bad...most IF games already have romance in them, if not all with maybe one or two being exceptions. I noticed they tend to be very slow, very shallow, very "Meh" it's like reading those romance books that people keep pumping up like slop, and not the good kind of slop either, just the boring one lol.

As for explicit content, I remember this one game, dont remember if it was on hosted one or official one, but wow it was the most explicit thing I remember reading at the time. It was the one where you are a immortal and stuff, though I found the other stuff boring outside of that the game doesn't offer much, but screwing a demon while they are covered in blood of people they massacred and sharing blood sure was the most "Damn" moment I had in IF's at the time lol

It’s honestly come a long way, and while I can’t compare it to a male!MC, it was genuinely fun.
Yeah I actually played it again after reading this and it was the most fun I've had playing an IF since I discovered IFs in general.
especially with her bovine-build
Kitsune's ability is a boon. When in doubt seduction or hypnotism.

Too many options like power, ros, and personalities and seeing that all of them are basically doing the same damn thing.

Like you have fire, water, and lightning powers and all of the fight scenes are basically the same with only the name of the element changed.

Also when the mc isn't connected to the world or what's going on in the game and a glorified side character that's just there to make the authors oc or self insert look good.

😂😂 true

Many of those are extremely mediocre except some few very early titles.

The one where you are captain of pirate ship and have 3 romance options is one of the best game from heart's choice.

Governor Eden ❤️

And then all that nonsense with spice level in hearts choice with the actual game being boring and not "spicy" at all 😂

Games that have both Twine and Choicecript demos. I unfollow accounts that start in Twine but then complain about coding it only to switch to Choicescript.
As someone who uses Twine, it's a pain in the *** to use, and extremely complicated to learn so I'd understand not wanting to go with Twine, but the only other alternative is Choicescript which has its own problems.

I don't wanna be that person but Twine is actually really easy.. Maybe it's just because I've taken the relevant coding classes but yeah. And there's many tutorials that authors have made available to help new writers. Not to mention the documentation is pretty easy to follow. There's also quite a few guides made for each twine format. I always assume people switching to Choicescript are either frustrated with learning twine (which doesn't take long by the way) or wanting to make more money because of Choicescript games being more popular. And this isn't coming from someone who knows nothing because I also use Twine. For me though Twine is the obvious winner because I find Choicescript games monstrously ugly and bad for those with sensitive eyes. The settings, for example. Either blindingly white, blindingly white with a tinge of ****, or jet black with white text. I read e-books and pdfs just fine with white backgrounds so I have no idea why Choicescript games bother me so much.

I thought it was fairly manageable except for the UI part. UI coding is where I f off into the sunset, never to return.
I've seen that from some Twine devs who haven't added any additions to the UI or accessibility yet and one of their followers had the nerve to speak where they know nothing and say that Choicescript has better accessibility than Twine. Twine is almost limitless when it comes to UI, its on the person coding the game whether or not it's complex. The accessibility is so outdated for Choicescript. Choicescript itself rarely gets any meaningful additions. Most games still lack saves, a back button, the UI often glitches, the screen transitions are jarring and tend to freak out and UI options haven't been changed since forever. I remember playing a Choicescript game in 2013 and I'm pretty sure the Settings menu still had all the same options it does now.

The UI part is the main thing that prevents me from switching to Twine tbh. Not just the coding, but also the design part. Anything I try just comes out so a$$ lol
There are templates, sure, but it's not exactly the same.
Maybe I should go back to trying though.

There's no shame in using templates and if your UI is limited. The issue I mostly have for both Choicescript and Twine devs who do not know a lot about coding is that they will start writing their expansive stories while also learning to code at the same time and it will extend how long their game development takes and in the case of Twine specifically, some will just give up.

L told me it was **** easy 😂 As long as you have a picture in mind how you want things to look, but I can only quote him on this, since I've never used Twine

I can ask him, but I'm pretty sure L would help you out if you need help with coding

There's no shame in using a template. But if you really don't want to use one, the Twine Grimoire on itch and the 100% good twine sugarcube guide also on itch are good for learning!

A Kiss from Death I believe, only HG/HC/COG game that I know of where you can be an actual monsterfucker

Nope, he just haven't gotten around to doing it... But currently... There is visibly no FMC in the story, there are flings with female leads but no substantial romance with her.
Even the male MC romance is standing on life support.

Heart choices has always been.... Mid to me, regardless of gender or romance. It has just been mid to me.
