I don't know close to the end I am right now (Chapter 19), but I've been enjoying this one quite a bit.
The dialogue could be punched up a bit, but the action is well done. The worldbuilding is a little nonsensical, but has some cool concepts.
Despite its length, it's an easy read and the prose doesn't feel like wading through a hazy mess.

Finished it. Can properly recommend it now.
The biggest reason why is that it's not just 12 chapters of faffing about before ending on a cliffhanger, like the 83% of other CoG and HG games are. This one is almost 50 chapters. And it has a definitive ending. Feels like the author wanted to actually tell a story and not just make boring slop.
Really wish there was a proper mod menu for this game, though. Would've saved me another playthrough. To avoid that, my advice is to hold onto the WP grenade until the very, very end.
