WIPs that can give Bastard of Camelot a run for its money

CC Hill is basically the final boss of dropping interesting WIP's and forgetting about them, and then updating the most boring one six months to a year later. Now she's rewriting WLGYL's and has no drop date, but keeps posting wattpad level smut stories on patreon behind the most insane paywall in IF history. Truly the most IF author in IF history.

And don't even get me started on the fact that every choice you make always gives you the same damn answer, sigh.

every choice you make always gives you the same damn answer
There are usually three choices and all say the same thing, just rephrased.

#1 "He is so hot!"
#2 "I want him to give me babies!"
#3 "LET'S F*** HERE AND NOW!"

posting wattpad level smut stories on patreon
Even TGR author is posting smut on patreon. It's just what it is (aka what sells, and what many seem to want out of their IFs nowadays).

Either that, or it will be like...

Your cheating ex tries to catch your attention from across a sea of beautiful faces and you hate that you notice them first.

1.Look away.
2. You smirk at how desperate they look.
3. You glare at the bastard.
4. You turn away, heart racing.

<and the next page will be the exact same answer for every choice because it doesn't matter what you chose and your ex will corner you, and you'll be angry and pining.>

CC Hill books are basically a linear experience.

Since the rules aren't ironclad, I'm also putting Wayfarer here. What happens first? BoC getting out of the childhood arc or Wayfarer chapter 4's Patreon release (Chapter 3's public). It fails criteria 1 and 2 but boy is Wayfarer gold standard for 3.

I do know that chapter 3 of BoC would be two books long and filled with unnecessary padding and fluff (Llama decided to add a Patreon short story into the main storyline again and why is always that chapter).

Another one would be Shepherds of Haven
ill say Shepherds have its own problems but (imo) its the last game you d include here considering the criteria™

like. im spoiled by how regularly its updated (now im jinxing it...) i just got into Wayfarer but...dont think ill b able to continue...its far too slow

If I remember correctly flame is supposedly a full time writer now, but hasnt even updated his patreon since November.
My pick since some of the big ones were taken is The Thousand of Us every update I have seen for that game is like 10 minutes of content for months between updates.
Careful now, I suspect the author did know about this site and looking for leaked demos, or that we have a white knight here for the lack of leaked demos

White Knight or not, the demos started dropping or being locked away after Dashingdon went down because somebody shared links of this site on the Hosted Games subreddit and COG's forum for people who wanted to know where to read their old favourite demos, and a majority of people found out that there was a pirating site for the games and went wild. That's when everything started to become too mainstream for the authors to ignore and the host of cogdemos decided to create a pateron lock on their site.

But before that if you searched up a finished game, Dan's mods would always pop up in google anyway. Years ago I thought that this was just some sort of forum mocking COG and never looked at it because it looked super basic at the time as I suspect many others believed. Now the site is renown, better looking and most of the COG fanbase knows about it. So, unless the site went on lockdown, it was always going to be found out.

The death of Dashingdon was just the final nail in the coffin and alerted the entire platform about this place, and most of them can't shut up to save their lives.

Oh Vendetta my beloved... 💔 😭

I am discounting Vendetta because the author is MIA plus NONE OF THE CRITERIA FOR POSTING ARE MET.

You leave my favourite IF alone or so help me god...

Fr tho, if Vendetta's author never comes back. I will 1000% take up the mantle, I am not joking. This is a threat; I will make Ash and Skylar romancable in a V-poly on the Mafia path.
I was scrolling to see some info on Vendetta, if any of you had anything interesting information to share, but have instead found this. And Hackett, if you do take the mantle, I'll see that I help you with its continuation as well🫡. Such an amazing work, only to leave us hanging for God knows what reason😔
Also, there was some info that some "personal stuff" was the reason, and that those were mentioned on discord, but I don't see what could have happened to result in complete abandonment of the project. Anyhow, just wanted to say this, but don't want to clog the channel

Hahaha, thank you for the words of encouragement and offer to help, bruv.

I have been toying with the idea on and off for the longest time. Make no mistake, I believe the author did a fantastic job developing this story as far as she did and creating a world as she did. The fact I'm even considering just continuing it is a testimate to that fact.

But as I said, I'm toying with the idea legitimately... If, however, I do take it up, that is a very big IF btw. I would just shadowdrop a chapter. Again, I'm not trying to get anyone's hopes up since I would hate to disappoint people.

But yeah, maybe I'll replay the IF soon. I should still have a copy of the latest Patreon version. Get myself immersed in the world once again, then let my mind go buck wild on theories and potential story plots. I'd want, at the bare minimum, a barebones draft of the overall story before actually writing anything.

Well my friend, I am known as someone quite creative, and so, my offer will stand, for if you wish to take me up on it. I also like it so much, and yes, the author did an amazing job with how the game went, what with the world building and the characters, and don't even get me started on those cool *** powers(I still remember that scene when I saved that mother and kid by crushing the skull of that thief, so good). That's why I continued to follow any trace I could, hoping against hope that she may appear and continue the project, but alas, it seems that my hope had run dry.
So now, it is up to us to finish it I'd say, and also, I wouldn't worry about the size of the project. Everyone would understand that it would take time, as is something I'm very familiar with myself. But a giant project doesn't mean impossible:hehe:

In this thread share the wips that can rival the micro updates of bastard of camelot lol

Criteria for inclusion:

1. Several rewrites (not necessary but funnier)
2. Micro update didn't even take 30-60 minutes to finish
3. Long periods between "updates"

Let the haterism flourish for our joined entertainment.

I'll go first; flowers for the demon king can give BoC a run for its money. It's been so long and its still not out of character making section.
Lol, at least bastard of Camelot has gotten somewhere....
I have forgotten the name of this if, but the story goes like MC is an elf child, in hiding with his mom and his uncle, in a cottage in the woods. I can't remember the name but that if pisses me off, years and it hasn't even left childhood...? Tf

Adoriels Tears is the name of the IF you're describing.
