Personally, I don't agree with anything that was said in the Discord, and I think Cultivator Anon should have nipped it in the bud and the perpetrators should be banned. But unless the author is cooking babies alive in his basement, I will keep playing Aura Clash for as long as it is still being published and continues to be fun. People on Reddit were acting like this was the second coming of Hitler when in reality it was a bunch of basement dwellers trying to be edgy to 'own the normies.' CoG could have given a warning to Cultivator Anon and some time to clean house.

It's wild that some of you think anon's ban was injust. No one, and i repeat, no one, think or want an author to write something they are not entirely comfortable writing. NOBODY expects this of any author. Anon's choice to not write gay romances because he isn't confortable with is totally fine, is his game, his story. What people took issue with was the blatant use of coding anti-sama *** romance in every single chapter, and, of course, the absolute bigotry on his discord server that was supervised and moderated by him, and as such, HE IS entirely responsible by what happens here. When people started being blatantly misogynistic, racist, homophobic and transphobic, he did NOTHING. HE IS wrong here, he SHOULD have stopped those talks the moment they started, he didn't, and he IS at fault, denying this is wild. Second, EVERYONE knows how the gaming world is not friendly with minorities, can you really blame the people that were offended by this in a niche media where they feel respected and safe for once? Again, i reiterate that no author have to write something they don't want, and thats the opinion of the majority of the IF community, hell, there are genderlocked if's, RO's locked by gender, and no one takes any issue with this. It's not a matter of wanting same-*** romance in every if, and yes wanting basic respect.

The MODs over here, and on cogs forum, are only following the guidelines of ther sites, which explictly state that hate speech is not tolareted 💀 and since anon put his games on their website and engine, the very minimum that is expected of him is to follow this guideline. He is not a victim.
Hate speech on forum was, on other sites not really. Do you even read Aura Clash thread? I follow it for years and there was hardly any hate or phobia attitude. CoG create new rule the same time they ban Anon, which is at least in my eyes unfair. Before this there was no rule about other sites content filter. Yet Anon was punished for this. They might have officially warned about new rule and do ultimatum like: «Clean you discord from discrimination stuff or be banned»

Nah COG always had this policy. They are a LGBT friendly company. And indeed, i agree that on forum everything was cool. The problem was on his discord server.

CoG always had LGBT friendly police, it's true. But before it always was about what was posted on CoG site, not others. This is why this new rule was created only now, but instead to give for Anon time to adjust for it, they simply banned him. I hope this just show off from CoG to show that they can and will not tolerate situations like on Anon discord and that whey will unban Anon and Aura clash later

They only banned him because he posted the discord link on their forum. And i do hope too that Anon gets unbanned. I do enjoy Aura Clash, i like his writing, the MC, the branching on his story, he is fenomenal to be able to code so many things and make so many paths. I just do not agree with the way he dealt with everything.

From what the COG staff are saying in the announcement post thread, Anon didn't get banned for the activity going on in the discord server. I'm sure that it was a big contributor to their decision, but it wasn't specifically for that.

They also mentioned that their staffs' time was often wasted by having to constantly discuss Anon, probably due to the complaints and problematic behavior. And they had to deal with people coming from the discord server and behaving inappropriately like they do in the server. One mod is even claiming that his server members would coordinate and harass other authors, mostly ones who are minorities.

Anon and his community attracted or caused too much drama and it was wasting their time, so they didn't want to deal with it anymore.

read allat, no the ban on the author because someone said something mean on a completely different site not affiliated with cog is not justified. words are just that, words. taking him off the platform that gives him the most exposure _is_ being heavyhanded. you can dress it up however you want, that was what happened at the end of the day. but, as someone already said, it's a liberal site with a liberal audience. what else can one expect. you already got what you wanted, stop tryna convince people it was "justified". we can still coexist with differing opinions.

Anyway, guys, what do y'all think about Dao Ascension? It's as good as POMA and AC?
definitely something to be excited about. competition is always good for the end consumers. i, personally am looking forward to seeing what it adds to this nascent scene in the if niche.

Change literally nothing. Like these toxic people will become depressed from Anon ban. No, they will become even more toxic to CoG than before. Here suffer only those who liked Aura Clash as game, trolls will not stop because of Aura Clash ban, because they enjoy trolling, not game

I really like it so far too; the only downside is not a real downside, which is that is just starting, and because of that, there's little content. I like the fact that our MC is overpowered. Here’s hoping more cultivation stories are coming.

So the top 5 bug is not fixed? I wasnt able to get into the top 5 towards the end of the update.
Also make sure to kill light bringer to make it easier, and say the reason you killed it was because it was out of control and harming people. You get +3 on your Imperial score

when meeting Gazhura
One of the best and most tense scenes in the game (if the MC risks obtaining/enhancing his Water Element). If Thunderfaller got through it, it really makes Jack look like a clown when he says that the MC hasn't really experienced the real world and its dangers.
