I mean as a neutral, Anon probably does have those views there’s too much evidence. The 4chan posts confirmed it. I actually did dip out the discord server it was overly edgy at times, but felt forced not even the funny kind. On the other hand it’s mostly because he clearly doesn’t want gay romance, and people are mad at it. My friend doesn’t want to write it either personally that’s why he’s procrastinating on his IF. I guess I’m more progressive as a person, but not overly crazed out reddit echo chamber. I don’t agree with them attacking Anon as a person though. It’s really not that deep, I’m sorry, but needing to be gay in every IF even when it doesn’t fit does bug me. Especially when it’s a historical IF. They’re used to forcing and getting what they want cough cough kingdoms and empire. Just let people write what they want that’s the beauty of IF there’s so many different stories not all of them will be for you.

AC has received hate from the beginning because it doesn’t have gay romance — or at least that’s the impression I’ve gotten — and many people didn’t like that, so they started looking for any excuse to throw hate at the game.

As someone who's in the discord yes it's filled with a bunch of edgelords but as far as I know it's all jokes none of us seriously attack any minorities it's all jokes. It's a server where anyone can pop in say something some random insult and we all accept that this person is joking. It could be argued it's an extremely liberal server

These ones were talked about in 2024 too when people were targetting him before his ahme was even out so many impersonators were talking about how many words he has written acting as him we already went through this saga in Cog forums lol.

And since I don't use Discord, can someone who uses it and was or is part of the author's Discord confirm if these screenshots are the kind of jokes you normally make? I just left it here since the OP's post was taken down on Reddit.

I'm not going to complain about him not including homosexual romances because he can do whatever he wants with his story, so I'm not biased by that situation. He still absolutely shouldn't have let the discord server get to the point that they're comfortably dropping slurs, bashing trans people, and calling gay people pedophiles, even if they are just being "edgy".

I saw that his and some others' excuses on reddit (after he apparently initially posted a Donald Trump gif and deleted it) was that it wasn't his fault because he can't moderate 24/7, and yeah, I don't expect him to do that. But that excuse doesn't work for me when in one of the screenshots, someone is dropping the hard-r and his only response was to send them to off-topic instead of giving them any form of warning or punishment when he saw it. He can come up with whatever excuse he wants to defend himself, but the server obviously got like that because he let it happen.

It wouldn't kill him to get some volunteer moderators and to actually enforce some kind of rules if he's going to make a server for his game that is accesible to the public.

Yeah, he made the chat for readers, so he should expect some people who came there specifically for the game to not be okay with it when they see other people openly having conversations about hating minorities and dropping slurs. It's not a private servers with his buddies where they can say whatever they want while expecting zero backlash. Maybe he should've cared more about what people were saying in a server tied to him and his game before it got that bad because people were obviously going to hold him responsible for what goes on there? Or maybe he shouldn't have made a discord server in the first place if he doesn't "have time to worry about moderation" because that is the bare minimum of running a server, instead of letting it turn into a sh!thole? Have you ever thought about that?
