Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

Why does that fat bald headed demon accuse you of killing the demon Queen's son mo long, even if you didn't? And you obviously failed the mission.
Is it a set up or a bug??
I had to use save edit to tweak it to false rather than true.
Hilarious since this is the wrong thread, but I'll tell you. Mo Long kills himself when you don't give him a reason to keep living now, Nicky probably wanted people to see the demon queen route if they skipped out on reading haha

It's his only daughter. He's going to drop his sword threateningly on the table the first time we have lunch together.
I want this to be real just so MC can have a turbo-autist moment where he puts his own sword on the table too cuz he thinks they're showing off their weapons. Maybe make it a crafting check where if you've got a mastercrafted + fully enchanted blade, the dad is actually impressed.

I expect something hilarious will happen either way. Given that anon has seen it fit writing all this:

Also Jin should have some faith. I practice Aoyusumu, I make my own luck!

I doubt it. There are if authors getting tens of thousands writing shitty smut no?
That brings forth quite an interesting analysis. If we consider the level of horniness of a fanbase as their mere state of being, the fandom that talks more about *** would be the horniest, true. However, as far as I know horniness is merely the physical application of received stimuli, thus the level of horniness in such a group is not merely quantified by a value x, but by the ratio of the response to the specific stimulus you've received, which can be reduced to x/a for now so as to not complicate the math, a being how provocative the work they're reading is by itself. Therefore smut novels would have relatively low fandom horniness per the actual content, since that's the correct and expected reaction to what's being read. The actual horniest fandom would be ideally the one that cooks up the most ****ed up ****, the kind that would leave that ****er Marquis de Sade in utter shock and disbelief, based on basically nothing at all from the actual piece of media. All that said, Aura Clash does have *** scenes so a is somewhat high to begin with, you guys are in the clear.

I've been noticing all the reputation losses we've potentially been accumulating by the way. Do you guys think some of our friends, even family, might turn on us in the future? I can't be sure why our rep is being tracked with kosuke, jin or rin otherwise.

Also am I the only one being blindsided by the disposition failures? I always be like "Wha-?? What do you mean????? I thought we had something!"

I... agreed with this? That's why I said that anon should have just healed us instantly if his goal was to show us how powerful the JDF is. And then we could have moved straight onto the harmony training and learning how to use Jade Qi. Instead of faffing about doing nothing.
There is a massive difference in scaling between an active insta-heal and a passive recovery feat. An insta heal implies an active specific healing hax being triggered.

"Faffing about" and letting the foundation passively do the work without any active input shows that its is just that absurdly high. It’s the difference between casting a high-tier restoration technique versus just passively having a monstrous healing factor. The downtime isn't wasted time; the fact that you can just chill and get the same results.

This is just turning into powerscaling, so won't reply further to this specific point

I.... what?
I was pretty clear on that. What you didn't understand?
Unless by NPC interaction you meant the options where we chose to hang out with people other than Eldra? I'm assuming not, since that means you'd be implying people choose Eldra because it's the route that involves seeing your mentor the least.
Yes, exactly. In Interactive Fiction, having a "hands-off" mentor route is a completely valid design choice. Sometimes you don't want to be attached to your mentor the entire time. Providing a route that essentially gives the player more autonomy to explore other relationships with npcs that they actually care about, is an good thing.

And if the players just choose Eldra because of the extra interactions with the other characters and don't give a **** about her then what's the harm in that?

Besides we already got plenty of Eldra's characterization on her route anyways

Or if the MC gained a newfound appreciation for their family after being spending more time with them due to suddenly getting more free time.

Or even if the MC just recognized that their workaholic mentality is actually kinda toxic after being forced to chill out and rest by Eldra.
....The fundamental issue with what you're asking for here is that it demands forced character development, which strips away player agency.

Which AGAIN It's what IFs are all about, you're not playing an linear game here.

What if a player is explicitly roleplaying a ruthless, hyper-ambitious anti-hero who doesn't think their workaholic mentality is le toxic? Forcing the MC into a specific moral epiphany just railroads the character into a predetermined personality, atleast imo

If the author listened to your suggestions and replaced Eldra's training with her dryly lecturing the player about "harmony," or forced the MC to sit in a corner and dramatically brood over their "toxic mentality"

Then I sorry but I think THAT would be skippable and boring as hell 😭
You think that Zhang's and Kaito's training were similar? You're over exaggerating.
Similar in the way that it's just the stereotypical cultivator training.

And no I don't think so.

Putting muramasa on the table and then she just tries to cut everyone around it

-5 prestige
+10 infamy

This scene doesn't take into account the AP boost of my transformation, and my immersion is ruined.

Ouch, I guess fortitude cores don't make you rock hard all the time. I'm surprised flayed god training still doesn't compare to this pain

Bum *** thunderfaller should have upgraded his agility cores if he didn't want to get his nads destroyed.

Now Jin is the only one responsible for the clans growth

May the ancestors help us all

I just saw the Shakengara screenshots wtf that is so sick, how do you get it?
During the Dragon Trial, head to the fishing village to find Guiren and his men looking for it. Help them find it and dig it up and you'll have a number of options for what to do with it, like forcing it to protect your ships or binding it to yourself. The screenshots shown here come if you bind it to yourself, but be aware that you need to fulfill certain requirements to pick; I think you need to have either Water or Earth element, or be Kiihakai (there might be one other but I forget).

Have either Water or Earth elements and seek for Guiren during the Dragon Trial(Literally the first option between all). Then select to form a Shugendo pact with the Shakengara and it became your pet basically.
Personally I just absorb it, the +1 Survival, +1 Chi Pool and its technique is too enticing for me.

I usually antagonize Guiren during the brawl lol. I guess I'm not seeing that thing

Btw, can someone run me back the requirements for the Asura and Titan transformations? I forgot

You can be friendly with both, you know. Just don't interfere in their fight in the Inn and select to camp outside, you'll have access to both quests in Harehama.

Midorikatai exclusive transformations, there's no special requirements besides being Midorikatai.

Doesn't that mean you miss out on Energy Tide/Flash Step? I know the former was mentioned during my kiihakai run a handful of times so it must have some importance.

I think I'm good with pissing off Guiren tbh

So then your conclusion is that if in future updates that if we have any further training with Eldra - then she would become a worse mentor character?
The fundamental issue with what you're asking for here is that it demands forced character development, which strips away player agency.
No I'm not. You could just have an option that rejects the epiphany or warps it to be more Ruthless. For example, the Ruthless/Evil MC has an epiphany about how loyal their family is and doubles down on just thinking them as tools to be used for them to get stronger - dismissing their loyalty as laziness and parasitism on their own strength.

What if a player is explicitly roleplaying a ruthless, hyper-ambitious anti-hero who doesn't think their workaholic mentality is le toxic?
Um. You're the one espousing the virtues of having a mentor that is more hands off and that there are methods of training that don't revolve around blood and pain.

This player wouldn't vibe with Eldra's current training as well. And would probably be agreeing with me? And again, you could just write an option for them to reject that epiphany. That would still be character development, it doesn't have to be a positive change or realization.

Similar in the way that it's just the stereotypical cultivator training.
If that's your opinion, then you must have found the majority of the IF boring then. So I'm not sure why you are here.
