You cannot start the trials unless you get them so the day of trials it will tell you to get them till then you cannot start the tiger trial so the trial day is the latest.
I do wonder if the next chapter/s will also have free roam available with the companion quests still there. Since as of now you will have to spend all 5 days doing those. Leona's quest is especially annoying since only Kiihakai users can get like 30+ AP from it, the weapons don't really feel worth it if you have high enough Lore stat.
Also she blocks Dice gambling, so you can't gamble without either agreeing or declining the heist.

Replaying the game for the umpteenth time, I just realized how hilarious it is that somehow approving of Kosuke assassinating a couple of bandits bumps up your ruthlessness a little, but firebombing them all has zero effect XD.
