Guess it's time to start another run and see where it goes, I suppose I can do with just 4 on both Handseal and Alchemy.

And besides, who needs Soul Treasures if you can just start eating Shards like rice?

Okay, did more testing, and it either doesn't work early on or you need more than 9 persuade. Because it seems to stay at 8 for both buying and selling prices for reagents and Handseal stuff.

give me some time to do another playthrough because I'm not at the city anymore and it was on my JDF run

edit: Are you sure it's not tied to commerce instead of persuade because this was on my merchant/kuro run as well

Could be, I'll have to test it further. Although it would be in a Merchant Aoyu run because that's what I'm running.

Apparently having craft 4 isn't exactly helpful. My tavern repairs got stuck at 80% even though I fixed it a bunch myself earlier. Needs a fix

Speaking of fixes, is there a reason this choice doesn't give retainers but only underlings?

They then take sets of chained manacles and latch your new 'crew members' to the rower's bolts. They can work here until they help you find replacements in the next raid.

The only downside is they are technically part of your crew. A very unhappy part.
