Why do spirits need exercise anyway? That's so dumb.

You see spirits are spiritual beings. They lack a physical presence to properly manifest in our physical world. Usually they possess a body to maintain a physical form but when that is not possible they would simply dissipate with time. By doing exercises ,which is something only beings with physical body can do, they are able to symbolise their physicality and fool the world for a while and get the ability to maintain a semi-corporeal form and interact with our world.
