What are your highest AP ever reached in the current demo's ending and what build did you use (Non-JDF / ML)? I know there's a lot of Kurokonton glaze here, but my actual highest was a Kiihakai Lunargoth and Aoyusumu Oni who both reached about 3000 AP (both Demonic Cultivators)

Highest normal runs were with aoyu herbalist cat yokai and oni at roughly 2.9k AP without corruption or doing anything demonic. Just did a human Kuro playthrough and I hit over 3k AP with that one also with herbalist as the background even though merchant synergizes naturally with the style.

Ac already has a structure also the demons in Db still are inferior to destroyers so nah even if you take db you will be weak as hell ascended are more like Angels of db since they aren't supposed to even interfere with the planets unless something big happens and even then limited,still the comparison doesn't matter here.

Anon has talked about giving a small branching thing for demonic Cultivatiors in book 5 whome the real book will be about Ascended an nah since it isn't like xianxia no heavenly demon can exist unless you count an Oni Ascending that way sure lol but if you have any Demonic chi you cannot ascend.Heavens doesn't matter for us till book 5 when you be Ascended till then it's just the gods making sure that there is life.Anon's has only consumed Cradle for cultivation.Ac is basically a Shonen with Cultivation(xuanhuan)

For Wukong he is actually closer to the relationship journey to the west Wukong unlike the wanked versions since journey to the west has no real cosmology scale and the earth is like the only setting with it's gods ,AC has it from the entire Cosmos so Wukong is actually closer to the relationship journey to the west version a very strong guy unlike the later media which wanked him into what people think he is lol because even at the end of his journey getting enlightened still doesn't mean much when the cosmology and scale was just the planet and it's heavens also Wukong is a wild god he simply cannot Ascend only dragons and humans can ascend oni, yokai and kitsune are considered human in the grand schemes since they or their ancestor already worked for this only.Wukong is a beast only a beast gets a false ascension they get the immorality,the 5 styles and 8 elements but power wise they barely get anything just get uncapped but barely any wild god is above 21k ap.While Ascended change fundamentally and become stronger just by existing tho training makes an ascended grow faster.

Evil is relative term there are many netural and what we would call "evil" guys up there but they would cull a demonic for free lol even the ac World's normal evil guys would do the same Akuma bums are the only exception along with New yomi but that entire country thinks they are doing something big even Taio calls them delusional for it.
So while you can be evil up there you will still need to do your duties which are more or less of a god who takes care of Cosmos.
Rivalries and infighting happens in heavens even tournaments but you can't be outright evil at large there simply because the oldest Ascended are some of the most virtuous people it's because of them the entire AC universe is full of life they make sure that planets are protected from cosmic issues there would be a lot less planets with life without them they make Worlds or systems viable for life for example making sure stars radiation is managed or a rogue planet doesn't collide or when galaxies merge the planets with life are unharmed making sure nothing comes and anything similarly that can threaten the planets. Ofcourse a young Ascended can only take care of a planet while old ones can take care of countless galaxies.
In a way even if someone is morally evil and would get other ascended killed or F*cked over they are still a net positive for the universe that would be the best way to describe the selfish or evil gods.

It's because of those old gods who made this order of making sure universe is full of life otherwise life would have a harder time there would be very few planets with life let alone Worlds with Cultivation.

Still plenty of nasty dudes up there who would want you dead they are simply just not some mass murderers or murder hobos so politics and struggle for power exists some don't care for it some do it's just the job is one that is of making sure life persists.

As for the council of the strongest Ascended the oldest ones are all over billions of years old whole the youngest ones are like a few million years though the youngest ones are still below in power than the oldest ones but they are strong enough to qualify they are the ones who can be haughty and arrogant not evil but deffo arrogant while the oldest ones are virtuous old heads.

Book 5 is basically god simulator for MC as he lives his Life as an Ascended among the other freaks as almost everyone who ascends is a winner and freak of nature the only exceptions are the good virtuous mortals or even martial artists who get Ascended because of their self sacrifice or being a virtuous Man who is good at their work.
Like a farmer who was ascended he is in heavens now and he never Cultivated he has zero ap and he was ascended because he was a honest farmer Good at his craft and a virtuous person so he was chosen so heavens does this from time to time from the entire universe.

They are favoured but you see it is natural that they can ascend it is not like it is a barrier really it's simply that dragons and humans are the only ones with the ability to ascend.On the other hand even the strongest dragons take human forms for meditation and absorbing chi almost all powerful dragons have human transformation in a way it's like grass is greener on the other side.
Jdfs are literally humans now entire point of them is best of the dragons choosing to become Humans they are pretty much humans with Dragon powers and Eldra who remembers old things considers herself human and she has been human for double the time she had been a dragon and even as Dragon she was spending more time in human form she learned via transformation.While on the other hand humans want their own dragon transformation lol so it is pretty much fascination both sides hold for each other.

On this particular note, the "Heavenly Demon" and their Divine Demonic Cult character archetype and trope actually comes from Wuxia rather than Xianxia.

It basically doesn't exist for Xianxia stories and settings, but it's almost 100% guaranteed to exist in any Wulin / Murim / Jianghu type stories since it originated from Wuxia.

Nah Unless you are born with some weird body no chance ,there is a reason nobody else can even Goro switches off and on and he takes from someone else that would be the closest thing to what you talked about.

There is one for almost every planet .We don't know who is the god in charge even the seasons are turned by the god in charge but bossroazal if he is actually Ascended he is interfering too much and that isn't allowed so either he isn't an ascended or he is indeed our god in charge it would be wild if we had someone else as a god and he let's bossroazal interfere as he is meddling too Much or maybe he doesn't know which is also funny.

If bossroazal isn't in charge of our planet and is just risking himself to do operations without anyone's permission it's really funny he risks all that just so Guiren and the bum squad can strong-arm random sects in the outer lands (I know he probably has bigger operations but it's still really funny he even wastes time with Guiren since we see him talk to him multiple times)

3450 AP Lunargothic + Kiihakai + Herbalist + Demonic Cultivator normal run, and I didn't go all out with stuff, didn't get the the Wyrm and Drake soul treasures, didn't absorve Sun Hana so no Dead Mountain Glaive so I only had like 200 and something in the Inner Hellscape.

If bossroazal isn't in charge of our planet and is just risking himself to do operations without anyone's permission it's really funny he risks all that just so Guiren and the bum squad can strong-arm random sects in the outer lands (I know he probably has bigger operations but it's still really funny he even wastes time with Guiren since we see him talk to him multiple times)

Plot twist Guiren is the strongest guy in the outer lands and is just playing dumb so no one uncovers the boss' true plans...whatever those are. Trust.

I think I could have reached like 4000AP+ if I were only interested in AP and not in content and other stats, so I would say that is the optimized run to enjoy some minmaxxing for me but not the squish every AP you can get.

Maybe shards should be nerfed a little bit, but that is only a thing people who know how to use them will use them so nerfing would be kind of sterile because they are going to find another stuff to break (like Alchemy originally).

Lunargoth. Kurokonton style with Storm & Darkness elements. Merchant background. Embraced demonic cultivation.
If I focus on gaining AP I can genuinely pass the 5,000.
Though in my main run I had it lower and focused more in "collecting" things, as not becoming the vessel of the Wind Spirit(Potential Jin Buff), not absorbing the Shakengara(Potential Rin buff), crafting the Godthread Belt, Helping the Eunuch, Helping Desdemona in the rabbit trial, unlocking both Twins Shugendo potential, not killing Sun Hana(Therefore no Mountain Glaive)...etc, I ended between 3,300-3,400. It could have been more if I had known that Chi-Storing increases AP.

You can currently get unlimited shards with every build so id argue it doesnt count
