I've realized that over the years people are just creating games that aren't really fun like back then with choice of dragons and other ones. Not saying I don't like some of the new games but they just aren't as exciting like how they were back then. So I think I'll be gone for a few months until poma and she's clash are updated.
I will fully accept criticism if u guys think I'm wrong in anyway.

Tin Star, Sabers of Infinity, Slammed!, Heroes Rise, Mecha Ace, Choice of the Deathless, Choice of Rebels, and more early COG and HG IFs that had me re-reading them just to experience that magic of storytelling again. Unfortunately just like with every niche space, it got infested with....well, you know.

Yup. Very unfortunate indeed, but this is why I say that I'm happy that the whole thing is "slowly dying". Well, not dying per se, but is becoming less and less populated, and in turn only the good and persistent ones will be left, while everyone else will drift off to something else, which is amazing in my opinion.
Heroes Rise
Your recommendations are quite good, but I can't, for the life of me, agree with this 😂 . Heroes rise series was one of the worst IFs I ever had a chance of playing, and I even bought the whole thing😭 It seemed promising, but after I realised the insane stat heavy alters and all that, the game was one the most unsatisfactory play to date for me (in third book, I still remember how I couldn't kill that mayor or whatever he was, just because I helped save the prisoners? And was "good" in one other instance? Like what in the actual ****?????😭)

There are still some interesting titles if you ask me but you have to search hard and deep to be only sometimes and maybe pleasantly surprised, like perphaps the golden era of HG and COG has ended damn that sounds sad but between endless development circles and a general drought of released eh what we see sucks most of the time. I like Velocity the race for life believe it's called(came out just at the start of July) completely my vibe with the teen racing high school drama but beyond it perphaps Magehunter but even I had problems with that one still waiting for Choice of Rebels 2 or Diaspora to publish others like Zombie survival series disappointed me with the latest entry very little content that at the very least I could unlock, oh and the writer of War if the West giving signs of life a while ago filled me with hope of getting something there though not any time soon.

Thrilling playing the game Shadow Fight 2 where every battle tests your timing and skill. Powerful upgrades and tough opponents keep the action exciting.

There are many good cog but are not getting released. Cog is infamous for being picky with releasing games that doesn't align with their philosophy. Hence Poma and Aura clash is gonna be released in itch.io especially since they don't have same gender relationship.

Well I wouldn't say that exactly but it has been most of them the best currently is aura clash with poma in 2nd place by far, but that's my opinion.
I also rather like DAO Ascension, College Tennis: Origin Story, Breach: Chicago War zone, Choice of Rebels 2, Apt 502 oh and Infamous, but there are a few more I did not mention out there too.

Good choice of games you picked there though as for a superhero one I much more preferred Community College Hero 1 and 2 and can't wait for the final one to be finished.

There are new games which are good but I've been burnt too many times reading something with a good plot, for it to amount to nothing. Like I understand that some stories may've been done before and this one has it twist, which can be hit of miss.
I find that one of the issue we have is the stories we currently have are taking a while to complete, or it being rewritten, so someone copies and paste the story changes a couple of thing then starts again.

Im more so growing bored of the newer releases of cog and hg, it's getting rarer to be wowed by any of them. I play them and never replay them again. which is very different before because i would lose sleep just to play a game over and over again.
This is also because people are used to Interactive fiction or play it too much. The more you consume something, the less you get amazed by it.

I think its more than that. A lot of them don't really try to be original anymore, they just stick to the same formula. It does feel more like it's about money than actually trying to build a world or tell a story
