You just made me remember Yuan
Fang Yuan is prob the most popular cultivation mc people here knows so I will say it again Fang Yuan was 500 years at the start + not counting his life on earth where he was a scholar + he went back in time so he has some knowledge of how the future goes.
Seriously...Fang Yuan is a cheat code

Dude is OP as hell even amongst other OP cultivation MC's 😭

You're making a if with your friend? That's really cool bro
I can’t take credit he’s making a Xianxia/ Xuanhuan type IF I just help with world building somewhat since I do not want to be spoiled on the story, I only know about the cultivation system and that MC will be more like a real prodigy from a young you see in cultivation novels, but not overly OP.

Eh he still has his struggles and such only reason he’s so OP is because of his will towards immortality. Plus he’s a functional sociopath feels like that gives him an advantage

While what you say about Fang Yuan is true (by the way, I don’t read many Xianxias and I’m not familiar with this character), when I said the MC is a complete idiot, I wasn’t comparing him to other MCs from different novels or anything like that. Also, you speak as if the MC has only lived one year in that world. No, he has lived 20 years there, he should at least have some common sense and even if he came from a decaying clan, it’s shown that he was trained. It’s shown how he fell into a trap as a young kid that led to his aunt’s death. From all those experiences, he should’ve learned something, but the MC just keeps doing things without thinking. That’s why I call him a complete idiot, not because he lacks knowledge of the future or anything like that.

I mean, an elder he’s never met sends him a letter to meet at an unknown place right after he showed his power in the arena, and he doesn’t even hesitate for a moment. He doesn’t need knowledge of the future to have even the slightest suspicion, but none of these things are ever shown. The MC just goes with the flow. I guess it’s on purpose to advance the events that need to be canonical, but it doesn’t change the fact that it makes the MC seem naive, even though he knows what kind of world he lives in.

Maybe it’s the goddess’s blessing that helps the saint MC win in the end.

Your 20 years point would hold far more weight for someone like Ai who never really had an easy life but mc was chilling doing nothing than training. He doesn't have any real world experiences beside the He incident .

It is made clear that mc consider the risks of ignoring it and it actually being real too much to not go not Elder sent me a letter telling me to go. Well 👍 better get on it

You’re talking about Ai, but how do you know this? The only incident we saw was her parents saving her, and then she was rescued, as far as I understand. So I don’t see how she would have more life experience than the MC. After all, as far as I remember, the martial artists tricked Ai, which led to her parents’ deaths since there were no martial artists to defend her village. She had a hard life, but that was only because she is poor, not because any events happened that would give her more life experience than the MC, as you mentioned.

In the end, the MC couldn’t count on his parents, but Ai could. The MC was bullied and everything, but I don’t understand why you say Ai’s life experiences have more weight than the MC’s when we only saw one event that could have contributed to Ai’s experiences.

It is made clear that mc consider the risks of ignoring it and it actually being real too much to not go not Elder sent me a letter telling me to go.
I might need to replay that part, since I don’t remember the MC even questioning if it was a trap or not and just because it’s an elder doesn’t mean it couldn’t be a trap, especially since this isn’t the first time someone in a position of power has tried to kill him after he show his power in public.

Fang yuan is my favorite cultivation MC, Gu is a little bit too edgy for my liking plus he’s a R word and put me off of him. There’s other way to make evil Mcs without making them R. Idk if I can say the words on here but yeah. Still better than that fraud they try to call an evil MC zhuo

Mc life 99.99% of the times before the start of his marital journey was eat, chill, maybe read a book and train. The bullying you mentioned though granted was severe still was only one day out of 69740 not a continuous part of his life. Ai actually had to work.

"Left without a choice, since refusing an Elder without a good reason is a bad idea, you accept the letter and dismiss the disciple." For Elder trap It is the same answer as what if Ruo didn't stop his uncle from trying to assassinate us. We will be dead no matter what we do

Life experience is about more than just working; it’s about how someone processes and learns from adversity. Also, at this point, you're just assuming how the lives of MC and Ai were based on things that haven't been shown in the story. You say the bullying was only one day, but it’s mentioned that the MC never managed to fix his relationship with his cousins, so this is uncertain.

That is false, because if he rejected the elder, it could lead to something bad, but not necessarily to his death. He could have gone to talk to his master or something, but again, the MC simply went with the flow and doesn’t suspect the situation or anything.

And regarding Ruo's uncle, I wasn’t referring to that situation. I was talking about when He Jun was directly going to kill the MC when he showed his 100% BP, but then he went and did the same thing in public again voluntarily when he woke up from the coma.

I mean I can name hundreds of villains who got their point across without being a creep. Fang yuan for example you know he’s evil. There’s another so many ways to be evil without resorting to that. I enjoy evil MCs just not certain one’s. He did his purpose I guess. Don’t get me wrong I used to enjoy reading it he’s just not one of my top favorite Mcs

Easier comparison for you to get. Compare a spoiled rich kid vs an orphan who had to work since she was 14. Never fixing relations with the cousins isn't called bullying. Bullying would be actual bullying

I thought you meant the Elder wanted us to die but again you may not think so but the mc considered the risk differently.

Hiding it is only is a decent idea if we never plan to use it until we need it but for example if we go with your idea what would be the point if we end up using it a week later in the arena?

That’s the problem Mc was not a spoiled rich kid lol they looked down on Mc? Even in childhood they treated him bad? Literally they did not care about MC? Mc aunt was like the only person

I meant lifestyle wise
Honestly, I don’t think the comparison you’re making even makes sense in what we're discussing, because the MC was surrounded by people who hated him—his uncle, his father, his cousins—while Ai was surrounded by people who cared for her and took care of her. She didn’t have to rely on herself.

Fair enough, also Monkey God even told Mc to hide it better, after the void training I believe? So he’s right on the part that Mc was dumb going around showing it off.
He said we are bold but that it doesn't matter because the old fogies are too stupid to understand what we are doing not we should hide it better

Tang Wei was a genius able to create the alchemy book Mei Mei use and many more techniques like the immortality LC use. If the MC is an incarnation of this guy why are they so braindead compare to him. It seems to me they only inherited Tang Wei's Chaos Physique but not the brain or will. With the MC being stupid their always gonna be a puppet to someones scheme no matter how powerful they are.

I can understand MC not being super smart. The MC can atleast be aware when something is fishy and when someone is trying to trick them. We can backstab Mei and refuse to bomb Long Chen, i think we can also encourage LC to fight Mei but I think it's kinda predetermined. Why can't we be more like this? I haven't played Mei route but I think there's no choice to be manipulative towards her just like she is towards MC? Correct me if I'm wrong. I wholeheartedly believe you can write and force the player to specific situations without dumbing them down, but I can understand it is sometimes needed as the reader is not the player. So if you have to do it, do it subtly. When such situations are needed, instead of making MC push the narrative, make others push the narrative towards MC. I'm sure it's easier for me say it from a readers perspective since I have no clue what outlines Niki has written for the story, but It just feels so patronizing when MC keeps doing dumb ****.

Chaos Physique is pretty useless in their world too with the lack of qi.
LC mantra likely wasn't actually invented by Tang Wei. We know LDQ mantra came from the Blood Stealing Emperor who is another cultivator

Again every single one of you always forget that MC is 20.
