I started playing Wandering Sword yesterday. I'm glad there's a story to the game and kinda character driven. As good as tale of immortal was, I'm sure I'd lose interest after some time since it's a sandbox game with no real story. I enjoyed project zomboid for a time but eventually lost interest after exploring everything the game had to offer.

How different or similar is Hero's adventure to the above games? Id love to play a story driven wuxia or xianxia rpg game but I doubt there's something like that.

It is story driven with a lot of side stories and character stories, I neglected my male followers and I'm trying to catch up now.

If you have a Devil Breakout during the tournament, be it during the DES route or during the all-out fight, you trigger the conditional for the Mei event, and if you don't, the Ai event will fire off instead.

Logically speaking, there's no reason both of these can't fire off one after the other in any order. If you suffer a Devil Breakout and meet up with Mei, Ai should still be a popsicle since it's an event that happened before the tournament. If you suffer a Devil Breakout after seeing Ai turn into a popsicle, Mei's event conditional should also be fulfilled.

Currently, it's one or the other. Do you think this oversight will be addressed next update?

The reason it's only one or the other is that you can only be in a romance with one of them at that point. If you're using the console to try to see both scenes at the same time, it won't work but if you're not using the console and you're in a romance with both, then it's a bug because you should be locked out of Ai or Mei route.

That's strange. I didn't do any relationship mod. What event sets that flag? Because I still get the Ai event after Mei confronts me by saying that I was only using Ai, as long as I don't go the DES route (where a Devil Breakout is an absolute) or get into a Devil Breakout during the 1vAll. And like I said, if I get into a Devil Breakout, Mei's event will fire instead.

It can't be outdated flag either, since it's in a completely new run that I made _specifically_ to see the event where people say Mei cucks you if you romanced Ai and her.

The event that blocks you from romancing one of the two ROs is actually the one you mentioned, where Mei tries to make you jealous with a random guy she had preemptively poisoned. There, you decide whether to continue Mei's route or go with Ai. As far as I remember, the event forces you to break up with one or the other.

I’m not sure what variable the game uses for the final events, but from what I understand, you need to be in a romance with them to even see those events. However, I haven't checked the code, so who knows what might be causing the issue. I don’t remember which flag is used for the event, but if I’m not mistaken, it should be using the ai_romance and mei_romance flags. Still, I’m not sure if it’s using other flags to trigger the final events.

It doesn't. That's precisely where you can say to Mei that you're only using Ai for her Physique, regaining back 12 relationship point after losing 14. There's no follow up event after that where you break up with Ai.

After she says to you that she won't accept you ****ing peasants and threaten to do the same thing, you can actually laugh at her face saying as if you'll believe her sullying her hand like that. That won't lose you any point.

I was pretty sure that in that same event, after saying that to Mei, the MC goes to Ai and breaks up with her. I know it happens in that event because I did it once out of curiosity, but I’m not sure if it happens with all the choices or if there’s a bug that allows you to not break up with one of them.

Edit: You're right, the event to break up with Ai doesn't happen with all the choices. I just checked the event again. Honestly, I don't know if it's something the author overlooked or not.

Attached below is the save file right before the confrontation event with Mei.

The choice I made for the following event are, consecutively:
"Ahh, don't tell me you wanted me all to yourself?", "I was just using her for her physique.", "It turns me on when you're jealous.", "This is hilarious. Do you really expect me to believe you'd **** this piece of trash?", "You were reckless.".

She does say "Now, leave. I was serious before, make sure that ***** never interacts with you again.", but there's no further event where you actually break up with Ai.

The only mods I've used were EXP, talent/trait, resource mods, and increasing my perception to 8000, over the limit of 5000 since I haven't refined it yet.

I think the event is bugged. I just tried several options, and the part where you break up with Ai no longer appears. That used to happen right after Mei told you to make sure you never interact with Ai again.

This should be the dialogue that follows, but for some reason, it only appears if you broke up with Ai after taking her to bed, which doesn’t make sense. it is bugged.

Dang. I thought it was MC asserting his dominance by essentially saying "I can do whatever I want, your jealousy just turns me on, and I know there's nothing you can do about it.", instead he actually got pushed by Mei. Wu Fraud, I'm afraid 😔

Why tf would Mei even care who we bang? Is it a reputation thing? And yes Wu Fraud is more like it lol. We keep taking hits and never hit back, just like in our fights. Until we are pushed into a corner that is.

The sad fact is that us being the reincarnation of TW is only known by us and very few people and for good reason. We're being impatient. Once we reach CF, most even among the strongest will not be able to touch us. Until then, we take all the Ls we need to take.

If it were about reputation, it still doesn't make sense, since their relationship isn't public. They have made no formal declaration nor made any public display, and thus people can only speculate if they are in a relationship or not, instead of one where everyone and their mother know you're banging Ai.

I think it's because she, Mei, actually does love you, despite her insistence that that'll never be the case to you and herself.
