idk sounds very transactional. The way we talk, we want powerscaling to be balanced in all route. If Niki is to give different powerups for each route then the variables would be insane like AC. I think tri dao would be the common path with lore, exp and qi being the differenciating factor in all the routes. Asura is unique for demon routes, good MC has nothing. A YB and LB student will have the most powers which is not really fair. Guess Niki has a lot of work to do. Would be nice to get a unique transformation from the moon goddess for good MCs, good MCs are literally starving.

So, what i noticed from the Ruo's arena fight with Jing Guo's brother is that the differenciating factor is his sword, sword art and his transformation which he refuses to use. That is the only reason he can fight someone 2 stages above him, EH vs LH. In base dude was ragdolled and was beat easily by a relatively strong LH. Maybe the expedition fights and the rogue fight will shed more light on his strength.

I honestly believe it was supposed to be his flaw combined with the pressure of expectations making it that once he does fail it's overblown tenfold but Nikki can't write fleshed out characters. Even Mei is ridiculously one note.

Yup, I see what Niki wanted to do I think I had made a things I hate about Poma. and Ruo was to of the 6. Niki clearly wanted him to be the typical rival you see the Sasuke like to our “Underdog”, but failed to give Ruo flaws and I don’t want to hear his ego is a flaw like Vegeta or such. Like he’s born to the most powerful ruling over the world type Clan, great training a great physique, transformation, unrivaled sword talent, and like everyone besides rogues and such loves him. That’s if I may a Gary Stu and Self Insert type character no? I guarantee he’s keeping up with MC now even if world combine, was he not forming his Dao or anything unconsciously? Or am I misremembering wtf kinda BS is this. So yes I will always wake up extra early to hate on Ruo.

The heavens(Nicky) love Ruo too much to let them decisively fail in anything or have any kind of flaws that truly set him back...

The 1vs1 fight against the MC in the tourney will definitely be the same thing.

I wouldn't even be surprised if the MC and Ruo's final fight in book 3 ends up being the same way...with a pyrric/non truly decisive victory for the MC.

Such is a Gary Stu character...dread it,run from it...but you will always find them in fighting stories... but you know what the worst thing is? Is when they are the author's favorite

I mean makes sense, but that should be one of MCs flaws with being named the last hope lol. Idk he’s too perfect to me that idk he needed a struggle/ flaw that actually impacted him. Vegeta ego came back to but him so much he even died for it, which won’t happen to Ruo, most is he’ll lose and reflect on it and stop underestimating MC nothing will change. Mei yeah she’s one dimensional right now, but I’d expect her to change eventually.

Anyway, I decided to play POMA one more time, once again on a neutral route, with no cheats and no talents other than regeneration and business god, also with no perks that increase EXP gain, but this time, calculating every EXP I gained. According to my notes, from after the coma until now, my MC was able to gain an incredible 69075 EXP. Pills provided 13230 stat points (13230 in terms of EXP), at least for my luck, since there's a bit of probability involved. Totaling 82305 XP.

For reference, it takes 90000 EXP to max out all stats at 15k.

Apparently, I was wrong every time I said it was possible to maximize stats on a neutral route, forgive me.

90k exp at minimum, since it isn't counting in the xp you need to invest to advance your Dao as the story progresses. Then it would be a bit higher. Around 95-100k exp

This stuff can vary a lot with the route you're following sadly

In my defense, I consider that abandoning Ai after He Mei's ultimatum is an absolute evil, so in my eyes it's not really Neutral, however, if it is for the rest of you, then I suppose that with the benefits of her route, it's possible to reach, probably exceed, 90K.

Funny, this is one of the things I wanted to check when I started replaying. That and a lot of the story.

Yes, I've never been one for other social media, but my friend was, so I learned about these opinions. Honestly, these people simply didn't have enough creativity to imagine what could happen in the future. My friend and I saw so much potential for what MC could achieve under the right conditions. I mean, it was clear that Ruo had more hidden power, including the transformation, which at the time was still a mystery, but we could still speculate so many ways the MC could surpass him. Before Ruo and MC's physiques, the Dao and the Heavens were a thing in POMA, I could see potential for MC to be the best, even with setbacks.
