Ruo has been constantly stronger than Wu Heir for most of the story and it wasn't by just a little either, it's only now during the tourney that it actually feels like we're closing that gap incredibly fast, which will finally give us the chance to have a proper no excuses win against that Nepo baby(That is until some random third cultivation faction shows up and gives her Qi)

These cheap tricks won't be useful for long even if ruo becomes cultivatior. Only reason right now ruo is problem for mc is that mc is in barren world with no resources and guidance

Golden Core Formation is usually where cultivators starts to form Dao seed, and from what we know Dao seed despise Internal Energy, there's no reason to assume Dao sprout would not be the same. Even if all the upper echelon of the PoMA world knows of the existence of Qi, Yichen himself does not possess the dantian and meridian necessary to store or use it (since it seems only the Rogues knows how to make it thanks to LB).
In this theoretical scenario, even if Chao only has a Dao seed, it'll still serve him better than Yichen's Dao sprout since he would be able to fully utilize it rather than the starved sprout that Yichen has. And technique wise, arts are pale imitation of the Dao, whatever arts Yichen has is inferior to direct manipulation of the universe through Dao.
I don't think Yichen is accostumed to peer or near peer fight. He's most probably accostumed to being overwhelmingly more powerful than the opponents he had faced thanks to the Ancestral Droplet, barring maybe the dragons (which IIRC was exterminated in a matter of days?) which somehow forced him to sacrifice his lifetime to accomplish. He's too accostumed to being the one being overpowered to know to fight someone that is his equal or stronger than him.

Chao in his prime was stated to be an unparalleled genius and was compared with Yichen. He was the youngest Houtain, youngest Xiantain and would have most probably been the youngest Shangtain by now if not for MC. Shangtain in under 200 years is insane. Idk if Chao would have been able to match Yichen but he sure has hell would have surpassed everyone else. Yichen formed his dao seed in his 900s so highly likely Chao would as well for one compared to him. I think even Yichen kinda gives a backhanded complement to Chao in the Q&A but was disappointed that he couldnt live up to it. I think it was Yichen but it could be someone else
Nicky already said that Chao would cap out somewhere between Demon Queen and Yang Bohai. He's not beating Yichen under any circumstances
Is that right? Thats kinda dissapointing. Why give all that buildup to a character only to turn them into a disappointment? But Niki sure as hell wouldnt give that treatment to Ruo.
It's not a delusion if it's something that he can clearly verify in reality. Ruo is glazed by the heavens and is given all the resources she could need and more, she'll keep up with us until the very end of the story where MC will finally be allowed to put her down for good.

Yeah Ruo is already guaranteed to become an immortal, but only if she becomes a cultivator somehow. If she keeps on using inner energy she'll hard cap at Shangitan.
Ruo will keep up until we are reach immortal realm. After that MC takes the cake since we can become a god. But our current growth rate is insane compared to Ruo. If we keep it going we will surpass Ruo very soon. Its clear that Ruo is going to get a power up in regards to his physique or might outright get Qi based abilites. In that case we're at an disadvantage cuz Yichen himself would bust his *** to find all Qi artifacts for Ruo. Who knows maybe absorbing the blood droplet might give an insane power up.

Ruo has never actually lost to us. Our only win was her just letting it happen as a reward for impressing her.
But yes, we'll probably be able to get a real Victory over her at the end of the first book, unless Nicky is just that averse to giving us a win.

I have no idea what sort of bullshit excuse Nicky is going to use to make Ruo a cultivator, but I suspect it'll be whoever gave Yichen those dreams about fusing Ruo with the dragons to begin with.
