Niki has got to PLEASE stop talkingThanks to a friend who doesn’t share my interest in POMA and related topics, I had a brilliant realization: What matters is what’s in the game; the author’s comments are only as valuable as his mood fluctuations allow.

It's functionally impossible to respect Ruo after seeing a glimpse of the resources he has had access to since birth.Just remember no matter how much of a fraud Wu heir is, Ruo will always be a much bigger BUM.
If we had half the resources they had for 19+ years we'd be a Shangtian before we're even out of our diapersIt's functionally impossible to respect Ruo after seeing a glimpse of the resources he has had access to since birth.
true asl,mf stats are meant to be closer to 30-50 in ph that it is now with all these permanent stat add ons they used even if they had the dragon transformationIf we had half the resources they had for 19+ years we'd be a Shangtian before we're even out of our diapers
By Niki a advancement is percentual and increases its effects based on the current strength of the one advancing. This narratively, as he said, there is a reason for why 19~20 years is when someone undergo the Rebirth to Houtian, because physically someone is in a state of peak that won't interfere in future advancements(As would if someone advanced at 30+, for example). At this point will it even matter when he reaches PH? Because other than inner energy reserves, his stats will increase by like 10... Right?
I was initially on this camp but the berserker pills straight up give a percentage boost according to our stats, right? Which matches the one described narratively?By Niki a advancement is percentual and increases its effects based on the current strength of the one advancing. But that statement was three years ago, and currently... We can undergo something explicitly said to be equal to a Rebirth/Breakthrough and our physical cap only increases at 10 regardless of our current stats.
So there are arguments for both sides, I still believe that they're percentual, narratively. The point is that the stat increase is exponential. 50 isn't just 25% stronger/faster/aware...etc than 40, as we know, a Top-Tier Houtian can take down tenths of weak ones. And following our own stage breakthrough, Mortal to E-H increased the same 10 in cap as E-H to M-H.
So I believe Ruo's L-H to P-H will also increase "only" 10 to her physical "cap"(Remembering that she doesn't have a hard cap as Wu Heir, just a soft one). Just my view in any case, and talking mechanically(Since saying someone have "110 STR" is just a metric for us players and not something existent within the narrative)...
It's the same for Mei's Hidden Dragon Pill, though. She explicitly says that this is supposed to be a ten percent increase, and is a ten percent increase over our stats. If we have 100 STR, after taking the Hidden Dragon Pill it goes to 110. It is believable that 110 is 10% stronger than 100? Absolutely no. Otherwise we'd have to say that a Peak E-H is just two times stronger than a Mortal, and we know this is false. Or that a E-X is just two times stronger than a Elite/Top-10 Houtian, which is even more unbelievable. We know by Niki and by how the book usually present the fights/Checks that the stat point increase results in a exponential actual increase.I was initially on this camp but the berserker pills straight up give a percentage boost according to our stats, right? I’d say those are just random numbers used for a check, nothing more.As is constantly said through the book that someone goes two times faster or punch two times stronger, but yet, the check usually isn't even 10 points above the anterior. YG, for example, 2% of his power requires a 15 CON check and 5% requires 16.
So what am I supposed to think this is
Wait he said this?Nicky will never beat the allegationsView attachment 39140
Don't know about the image. But about Niki's being not the most planner author... Yes, he already admitted it. The only narrative pillar he had untouchable and firmly established previously was TW's plot, besides that was almost everything volatile.Wait he said this?

So what am I supposed to think this is, you might be thinking. I don't know, only Niki's psychopath mind knows really. If anything I'd say that a ten percent increase isn't really a ten percent increase in stats for someone that isn't Wu Heir granted our ridiculous body(As said when we take the Battle God Pill, our Body made by TW's Blood essence monstrously increases the effects of Alchemicals)...
This feels like those videos who try to powerscale dragon ball characters and when Toriyama sees it he just goes "yep, for sure you got it man".I think I may have developed a system that is somewhat indicative of how the progression develops and is measured.
If you imagine someone's 'power level multiplier' in a certain stat as 10^(stat number but divided by 100), the progression makes more sense than a classic linear one.
So for example let's say we have a Houtian at a natural peak of 50 in strength and the Wu heir with let's say 80 in strength. Then the stat comparison would be not 80/50 or in other words that the Wu Heir is 60% stronger than the Houtian with 50 in strength, but 10^0.5 vs 10^0.8 (3.16 vs 6.3) so 2x stronger multiplier.
This progression even makes sense as stats begin to increase in their values more and more. So a Wu Heir with 150 in strength would be 10x the multiplier than any natural PH at 50 in strength (3.16 vs 31.62) and a Xiantian with 200 in strength would have a little more than 3x stronger multiplier than the Wu Heir with 150 in strength (disregarding Aura and other Xiantian abilities). And that's why even a Top-10 genius level pumped up PH would never be able to hurt an EX with a normal physical attack - the difference is just too massive (10 for a PH with a juiced up 100 in a stat vs 31.62 for the weakest EX at 150 in con).
I think it is best to think of this number as a multiplier for any one stat - so if a Maxed out MH Wu Heir can lift the Bull Spirit Beast and suplex it, considering that it weighs close to 6 tons as stated by the Wu Heir himself, then the lifting capacity for someone with 30 in strength give or take would be let's say x*10^0.3 = 6000kg.
Now I believe that this X variable is what I call the 'Stage Variable', which grows when a new stage is progressed into. And actually the math matches up nicely here because if solving for X in this equation we get X ~ 3 which is indicative of the 30 stat limit at MH. Then if every stage and sub-stage adds 1 to the X we get X=5 for a PH.
Therefore a PH with 50 strength would have the lifting capacity 5*10^0.5 = 15811kg. Which I think is a fair difference between a maxed out natural MH and a maxed out natural PH.
And that would theoretically mean that the difference between a maxed out PH and the weakest EX, at least in lifting capacity would be - 5*10^0.5 vs 6*10^1.5 or 15811kg vs 189 737kg.
Which actually would then back up all the earlier statements about the pebbles the weight of a small hill and whatnot.
Because as per Google -
A small hill can weigh anywhere from 50,000 to 500,000+ metric tons (approx. \(1.1 \times 10^8\) to \(1.1 \times 10^9\) pounds).
The problem once again lies in the always changing statements and power levels as per Niki. If he wasn't so afraid of demonstrating serious power-levels with more than just the occasional 'the arena shakes' and the like, then the answer would be way clearer.
I whole heartedly believe this.By Niki a advancement is percentual and increases its effects based on the current strength of the one advancing. Your system is very good indeed but I'd say that using the Bull's Spirit as a initial metric is quite wrong. Because Wu Heir is lifting/kicking a powered opponent that weight 6t by base rather than a inanimate object that weight 6t. You can think it's stupid but not only in PoMA but rather many fictional works lifting a powered opponent isn't solely based on their physical weight, we have the proof in the scene against the Bull Spirit per se. Wu Heir at max(Male + 6'6 + Muscular Body-Type) must weight in the range of 220~260lbs, yet if you pass the 34 STR check against the Bull you can stop his charge without moving a single step.A small hill can weigh anywhere from 50,000 to 500,000+ metric tons (approx. \(1.1 \times 10^8\) to \(1.1 \times 10^9\) pounds).
What lead you to believe or even think of this?I whole heartedly believe this.
Specially after the final fight (this far) o fthe tournament, i managed to steal the Wisp and Chu went from Peak to Late houtian, and tried to attack Wu. It wasn't even a check, by sheer narrative you can dodge it simply because his 49 Peak Houtian Agility is a problem, but 49 Late Houtian Agility is trivial. Your stats only represent the percentage around your cultivation level, not a plain number that can be compared to the others, a punch with STR 10 Peak Houtian would still cripple a CON 29 Middle Houtian narratively
