Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

[LuciDio]

God, I hope not. It's cool doing it once, but I don't want Wu Heir to be the breakthrough merchant...

Is it too much to ask to beat Ruo's áss so badly that THEY are the one to advance to EX mid fight just to keep up next time?

Remember it’s Nicky you’re asking so yes, it is too much.

But to be honest, I know I’m prolly gonna eat my words later, but physically Ruo is not really that impressive, considering Tigress now is 99% above Ruo physically without any transformations and techniques.

Tigress has:

130~ Agility
115~ Strength
90-95~ Constitution
85~ Vitality
120~ Perception
40?~ Charisma

That’s all in base, without the Red Mist hax and all the animal buffs.

So Ruo’s main saving grace will once again be treasures and hax. Can’t outbody us, can’t outspell us, can’t outsoul us - so will have to outrich us.

My guy that's literally what we've been saying about Tigress before the update.

She's definitely going to get an improved dragon form, getting into EX by will and perfect her stupid bs sword technique that we still won't be able defend against and could probably damage PX in lore before our fight

[Arlonb]

Don’t push it. It’s a 3 at best.

At least it’s better than Ruo, who’s either a 1 or a 0.

I did feel a little outraged when I saw his estimate was 40 ngl. But then again Tigress does have a charisma check of ****ing 130 for some reason. Then again maybe it's a perception check on her side?

Anyway I do feel bad our gear is complete garbage. Ruo should by all rights have 150 in his stats just by gear alone. I won't be surprised if he's wearing contact lenses that give +50 perception.

Our only decent loot is the crown and even that'll be refined unless it gets upgraded. Which I hope it does, I imagine we look quite kingly when wearing it.

At least it’s better than Ruo, who’s either a 1 or a 0.

I just saw the failure scene if you can't avoid brainwashed Ruo's attack when fighting the supreme demon guy and it's hilarious. Fail checks are just so funny man, I have no idea how Nicky can write them when they're just so pathetic it hurts to read

Could never be me. Imagine not having iron will and getting brainwashed? This bum will never make it with such pathetic mental defenses

So I think it’s kinda impossible to tell because even narratively jumping from a 100 str check which just kinda surprises and blows back YG to a 200 str check which is, even considering Nicky’s fickleness, still apparently the bottom Xiantian line — is absolutely tremendous both mechanically and lore wise.

I mean, once he gets more serious there's not even a check, it's just straight up:
So just by this we could assume he's a 110, maybe? If 90 STR at a moment manages to push him away and then in other does absolutely nothing.
But there are can be interpretations for him passing, significantly, this value, as I said - and is said in the Asura interaction -, he is said to be stronger than Full Asura w/ Body Dao. At that moment a Full Asura can be a 40 attributes increase depending of how you are playing. So ~130 range, let's say.
And remember that this is a base, puppeteered and battered Yang Gan. Wouldn't find absurd for a conscious, fresh YG to be ~150 base and ~200(My 10/10 as the limit) all-out.

Victims of the Celestial Vessel Baihu anyway. All of them.

Man, we're skilled craftsmen, but we have no experience, and anyone stronger than us can bully us. She's at the level of an emperor, far above us.

She's not an immortal emperor, I forget her exact level but it isn't an immortal emperor
SHE IS A BUM!!

I can see base YG being freaky even in base without using energy. Every time dude flexes his arms you have to pass a perception check lol

My brother, you are literally talking about the leader of a sect in the upper world, at the level of the Emperor, and she is on the path of the spirit. These people are very powerful, and I don't trust the Yan family because they are controlled by the false Blood Moon Emperor.

She's a sect elder not a sect master
And with what I've seen of the ascension sect elders, I have no respect for the title

Are you guys sure LB is even remotely connected to this Wupai sect or whatever? Our personal conversation with her didn't give me good vibes

[OzBorne]

You can't trust Yan's family that's true, but you can't trust Bumfly as well. I refuse to submit to old fart emperor even if he has no other agenda. The only one on our side is Wu Chao and even he has a lot of Death flags. Demons sometimes also have divine beauty but an extremely evil unhinged nature which is basically Wu heir.

Chao is gonna die and soon but I need my mc to hit the next realm first otherwise the Wu clan is gone
Wu chao is the singular reason we haven't been fully stomped out
Next book's gonna be mc having to deal with the ****ed logistics of the Wu clan especially with all the clan members who'd be looking to betray you, the He clan feeling bold enough to finally bumrush you and all the goings on of the war
By the vermillion hells, Wu Chao is the only reason Wu aren't now a minor clan or wholly wiped out

We forget that YG is actually a master at spells, if he gets his mind back together he's unironically a far bigger threat than Ruo
Add to that, his bullshit regent means even beheading him might not be e-f*cking-nough
Body refining so powerful he could dust a peak houtian with a punch so fast that most other peak houtians won't be able to see it and a number of high level spells to add to that
Though I wonder if he can even use all those spells anymore as he's been made into a cultivator
Either way Yang Gan is the unmatched goat, across the heavens and earth, he alone is the honored one
With the soul exception of Wu Heir that is

For the love of Nicky Chao please dont die. You're the ONLY person in the entire verse who actually cares about us without getting anything out of it

If Chao dies he can't suffer anymore so we can probably avoid his death.

Honestly this will make the most sense unironically because it'll be a parallel and a callback to our first fight

No, Not really, It doesn't really make sense. Mindless Parallels and Callbacks heavily cheapen the story. Parallels should be tasteful. A good callback would be Ruo needing to advance mid-fight to EX (because I think she will advance to PH way before she fights us) to match us, both to show that she is the one blessed by heaven and also how far we have come. We can then ask her the same question she asked us on "Do you know why I am better than you?".

No matter how much Niki wants to push this narrative of us being the underdog, we are NOT the underdog. Lore and Mechanically Accurate Wu Heir is the final boss of final bosses, Straight up Middle Xiantian level at their maximum current power. The foremost complaint I have about POMA that sums up all my criticisms is that it is 'FRUSTRATING'. It feels like we really don't have much freedom, Niki is writing with a set power level in mind that limits and underestimates how strong Wu Heir should be. If Niki realizes the true power level of MC, He just buffs the power of other characters inconsistently.
