Yeah i was thinking the same, maybe something similar to tigress and her 2nd heart which let her use IE as a mortal, as to how he got his hands on something like that maybe through some ruins like long chen?
That's possible and after he found it he probably think it's useless until the rogue tell him it's usage

All of this talk about He gang and how he has Qi got me thinking...what if the answer was more simple than it seem? This is only a speculation but what if he got them naturally? It always struck me as odd that He gang was said "to have delayed his come back to the sect", to leave the mountain there are only 2 ways, 1 through missions and 2 by order of an elder or a personal problem like the Wu mission, yet in 3 years He gang never came back to the sect meaning it is more of a personal matter than a mission which lead to an answer what if he got Qi and meridians through a danger zone? Tang wei said that meridians are a "natural mutation" in Qi rich worlds and Danger zones are fragmented worlds, what if He gang went into a Danger zone that is rich with Qi and through the 2,5-3 years he spent there he "mutated" and got meridians?

So Niki answered an ask saying dreamweaver was a god, so this gets tricky on why he couldn’t find him. Maybe the lady butterfly being an avatar idea was true because TW protections on the world. Someone also translated Caihong lol

From a biological point of view, this is very unlikely. Mutations as drastic as the addition of a new organ (meridian/dantian) could usually only occur naturally after several generations. In other words, to be natural, He Gang would have to spend a lifetime in this Danger Zone, only then could his grandchildren, great-grandchildren or who knows how many generations later be born with meridians.

(I'm not an expert by any means, I just had a certain interest in the subject a few years ago, so I could be talking nonsense)

In order to mutate u need to stay in some place for a REALLY FKING LONG TIME TO MUTATE some of the martial artist probably stay longer in the danger zone and still has no Qi and meridian so I doubt it

Tbh is danger zone even a qi world if anything it's a barren world even worse than our current world
When the mc entered the danger zone it was said that the air felt "purer" and down the line after meeting tang wei that "pure air" was qi ( a watered down version) so yeah? I mean even tang wei said that danger zones are spatial rifts that lead to parts of shattered worlds.

Assuming that an MC who cared about his aunt is canonical, then killing He Gan is one of the few "must do's" that every MC, regardless of route, has. And this is probably one of the easiest. I mean, if the MC can't accomplish anything significant since the very first book, that just means he hasn't evolved at all.

Look, the author does what he wants, that's obvious. But something that defines almost all Wuxia/Xianxia protagonists, regardless of their personalities, is that they do what they have to do when the opportunity arises.

I’m just saying if we meet 1vs1 in the tournament and he somehow escapes I will most likely be bs writing, this is someone Mc has hated since a kid. Speaking on that he clearly does something to Mc cousins too based on a recent tumblr asks, if an Mc who also cares about the Wu would not let all this slide. If he can do all of this and still can’t at least cripple his cultivation I’ll be upset tbh

I agree with you. It's just how I see it, but the author has no logical reason not to let the MC slay He Gang. If he's going to come up with some reason to "save" He Gang for the next book, let it at least be in a reasonable situation, like: in a scenario where the MC is about to kill He Gang, the latter is "saved by a higher power", or something like "he used an artifact to barely escape alive". Otherwise, if it's to write something like "MC wasn't strong enough to kill him", it would be better not to have brought the guy back in this book at all.
