That's what I meant. It's a very predictable and disappointing trope in stories where anticipated fights are nulled by outside stuff. I can understand why though. Let's hope Niki doesn't nerf MC just to make Ruo look like the 'stronger' one. He did that once already but he used the "sukuna-sama hasn't gone all out yet" treatment rather than nerfing MC. It was frustrating to read the glazing Sukuna recieved in jjk during the final arc, it will be frustrating to read it here too.

To be fair, if Ruo didn’t play around he probably could’ve ended the first fight with MC instantly we were helpless against him. Then people probably would’ve complained about losing so he had to make Ruo not try 100% to make up for it. Ruo is clearly the typical rival character and author favorite, he has to keep it “even” somehow and I think outside interference is a better way then oh I’m not trying again. If Ruo goes down 2-0 against me I don’t ever want to hear his trash talk or hyped up by other characters again. I’m just glad I’m not a author couldn’t write a balanced character at all.
strongest is emperor after that there are 3 strongest monkey god, demon queen and shadow soveraign but im still curious about one thing when having monkey as master he was strongly injured when he summoned you to train when he snatched all the ******* he also said "she" is dangerous and when you can "you played with demon queen" or something like that and he says the she wouldnt be able to harm him which means 2 things
1 monkey god is propably 2nd strongest only after emperor because he also posses strongest art the monkey grab also it could be wrong because his pilosophie is to survive and not be the strongest
2 there might be a female that is stronger even than the emperor himself and im not talking about LB because she is outside of the world with barely any fighting strength when possesing somone
there already was this moon guy when saving the girl and he had qi so he might actualy be a cultivator from another world especialy because he said that thousands of "faries" were after him for his looks which also questions a theory that maybe shen long mu isnt only one who knows about the world of tang wei and maybe there are other cultivators who want to safe the world
The first fight I have no problems with. It was fine. It's clear Ruo had better training, better resources and better everything in general. The fact that Niki made a loophole for MC to 'win' is good writing from his part. But we got many buffs since then, we're getting strong at an alarming rate. Ruo is getting buffs on top of his already existing buffs. There's the fact that we are lagging 2.5 years behind him. If we take this seriously, it's either our growth is so exponential that we managed to close the gap in 6 months, or that Ruo is purposely holding back his strength for some reason. If it's the latter then it's just glazing for Ruo a second time which would make me disappointed. Best Niki outright tells us that we caught up in 6 months and because of that Ruo is given another hax or asspull from the heavens or Yichen. After that we get a power up or hax and the cycle goes on. It happens all the time in power fantasy stories. I just hope Niki doesn't patronize or dumb down the MC just to make Ruo feel atleast equal to MC. Best call us both equals, glaze MC for a change, then give Ruo a power up sometime after that.
I don't have many expectations for MC vs Ruo. I only hope for one thing, that it's a fight with Ruo giving his all, including becoming a PH. What I hate most is uncertainty, I like to discuss POMA here and with my friends, but all discussions about Ruo never lead to anything, because there is always the argument "Ruo didn't use this or that", "Ruo didn't attack with everything" or "Rou could have done that". The most annoying thing is that I can't even counter-argue, because the facts are uncertain.
Of course, I hope the MC wins, but I don't care much if he loses, the poor guy is not only "poor" but a target for everyone, even the "universe" itself (Heavens), only the glorious future comforts me.

I am down with scripted MC loses, that’s what I told my friend making his IF MC can lose. My problem is it has to make sense, like sorry I feel like the LC lose/draw was such a bs. Like yes MC should lose, if it makes sense story wise. Like in last AC update I got beat down talking smack in the City after a fight. I just want it to be fair progression and realistic loses. Like losing to Ruo originally in first meeting would’ve made sense and I would not have made me angry. Us losing to He Gang with some Qi bs would make me angry.

Losing to He Gang would be ridiculous to the point of being hilarious. I can't even imagine that happening, not even if the MC is somehow "suppressed". I know that He Gang has gotten stronger and that with Qi he's a "variable", but "defeating the MC" or "rivaling the MC" simply isn't his role, his role is "getting beaten by the MC".
Certainly, losing to He Gang would be one of the biggest possible reasons to get angry, if we get to this point, POMA and its power structure will be a joke.
I’ve come to terms that I don’t think we’d be able to kill him, at least openly. He does have an S behind him, would be another DQ situation probably. Unless you are on DQ/ Baldy route.
