Yes, it would be nice to see this in a Cultivation IF. I recently started reading Shepherds of Haven (big af by the way, I started it four days ago and haven't finished it yet), I think it's really cool how the MC there is treated by his companions, as some kind of absurd talent that can do anything, it's not boring or exaggerated, because it's well written.
That’s all I have to say when people complain about overpowered MCs, even I dislike the Gary sue types. It’s all about the writing if you establish a consistent narrative it can all work. If you say from a young age MC is talented and show it there’s the characters you always hear about fighting above their realms which would be believable if it’s established. Like Ruo we see him do stuff normal people can’t do like fight above his stage, but even 1 PH was too much for him. It’s all about consistency and writing. It would be nonsensical for a EH to beat a PH. But I’ve seen stories where an injured S rank lost to a B rank and it was so hyped no one complained about non sense, first the S rank was weakens and B rank had an ability that was suited for fighting above their ranks. It could be done if written well tbh.
We don't even have to go that far. If just the stats were canon, the MC would already be a total monster, but even that isn’t, so it’s not surprising that other mechanics that make the MC stronger aren’t canon either.
I'll be honest, I've never heard of it. But if you recommend it, then I'll play it. I'll be back in a few days or weeks to thank you or curse you, depending on how much I enjoy the game. Until then, thank you for recommending a wuxia game I didn't know about.
its an old game. Came out in 2005. Graphics are outdated but gameplay is fun. There are several arts and weapons you can use in game. Some you have to have a specific alignment to unlock. Way of open palm or closed fist. Former is basically the honorable virtuous one and the later is the evil one. There's romances in game since its a bioware game. fyi spoilers next but nothing serious,

Great game, played it last year after seeing Reddit post about it. I prefer wandering sword though. Plus a modded tale of immortal is up there for me too. Those 3 are my favorites though

well thank you. There's very few games with that calibre of story telling, worldbuilding, characters and bioware happened to have made quite a few games which tick all those boxes. BG1, BG2, Jade Empire, Kotor, Mass Effect trilogy, Dragon Age Origins, 2 and Inquisition to a certain amount. Not like the stuff Bioware releases now. I saw Veilguard and my first thought was, no way this is Dragon Age. Bioware has been in decline since ME3. Inquisition came out good despite that but you could see signs of it in game nevertheless.
I tried tale of immortal after finishing Jade Empire since i started taking interest in cultivation games. But man after reaching the first village or city, i was so overwhelmed by everything. So many npc's, the gift and relationship mechanic, etc. I was a beginner to cultivation stories and got completely hit with so much new stuff which i had no clue about. So i just stopped it and decided to play it after i know basic cultivation stuff.
If mc was at that level the only difference would be his ability to spam arts and so yes would be nigh unstoppable. Imagine being able to use arts without exhausting inner energy the whe poma world would need to fight you all at once but even at that mc would need to reach xiantian at least to be able to withstand the power of the arts being employed so it boils down to mc advancing everytime he's exhausted
Yeah, whenever I get into a new open world game it’s overwhelming I have to make a plan like focusing on certain areas first until I get to know the mechanics fairly well.
