Talking about this fight... It really makes me wonder how much thought Nicky puts into deciding stat checks. I mean, if he really, really thinks "how powerful can the normal MC without talents, itens or perks be at this point?", since this is apparently the MC on which the author bases his decisions.

I say this because the fight against BH isn't easy, not if your MC really has no talents other than Regeneration, nor any items or perks. In fact, at this point in the game, on normal, there's no way the MC can have gathered enough EXP to pass all the Stats Checks of the fight, no matter how well the player has accumulated. Speaking from experience, when I tried it with my "simple MC", I needed a lot of prior knowledge, knowing which stats you can fail, using Infuse at all times, etc.

My point is, this is a very difficult fight, in which Nicky seems to have made a real effort to make it a fight that "the current MC can win, but with a lot of effort", both narratively and mechanically.

This is not repeated in the other fights, because, again from personal experience, even the "simple MC" can have stats far superior to those required during the fights at their respective points in the story (mechanically), which is not reflected according to the narrative, where the MC seems to be almost always suffering or getting beaten up.

Edit: Just to be clear, if you don't invest in CHR, you should be able to pass the stat checks without too many problems. But, if I'm not mistaken, without enough CHR, He Mei will kill the MC soon after.

Book one might just show mc being weak all through. Would expect real changes in book 2
It's like an irony of what happened to Chao
Very strong in the beginning and week later in the series

I’m fine with that, the thing I’m worried about is seems like he’s slowly getting burned out on Poma
Poma's power scaling is bad šŸ‘Ž

Imagine beings revered as gods not being able to do anything to martial artists
And the worst is we who's the reincarnation of the same god who conquered the world at that time is still struggling with martial artists of the same level. There's nothing that shows we're powerful if we just keep getting clapped by numbers

In the old updates, eh mc could dominate a fight btw 3 martial artists without breaking a sweat and without arts and still win the battle against little dq while at eh but now you must advance b4 meeting her( i know this because i always found fighting one stage above appealing in poma). If at that time arts were used he should be able to easily double the amount of ma being dominated in a fight. Advancing should also propell mc farther than fellow martial artists.

But all of a sudden cultivators started coming up and mc hadn't even reach ns not even cf
We're close to the peak of qi refining and the stage still looks like **** šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Mc getting clapped by arrows is hilarious. Stats don't matter and you're the only one without a specialisation. Can't be a speed god, an unmovable mountain, a strong titan or just a really clever bast*rd 😐
You've gotta be a jack of all trades and worst of all even cheaters aren't given an air of supremacy all mc feats are getting nerfed šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
Imagine turning into a fragments of a god and still getting clapped by 1 Xiantian heck even when goku tasted SSgod for the first time he cooked 😭

And now we're hearing the a phony coming to tell us he's on 1% of his power and a goddess who literally curses or blesses us but they have no power on said worldšŸ™‚
