Why do you interpret this as "almost the entire early game world building going down the drain"?
Literally, this keeps both the players who liked the originality of the Poma's world and players who were never satisfied with the idea of their story ending on NS in mind for the future story.

“Lots of branches” lol it does not AC has lots of branches not Poma. Poma has like 3 branches each time. I mean imo one of my complaints is that Poma is quite linear at times.

Two of the main ambition options relate to freeing or oppressing peasants. Mei is an alchemist and the person in line to inherit He Clan after He Gang, Ai is the only person so far we know is capable of double cultivation. Idk what Tigress artifact is but she doesn't seem all that relevant.

There's a print on discord of niki way back in DMs with another dude saying how much he loves Mei and glazing her.

nah brr,thats just recency bias getting to you,niki could easily make a dao twist on the artifact tigress absorbed,since hes basically wanking every slightly important character now and tigress will definitely play a bigger part in anything happening in the poma land than mei and ai. tho,i can understand your point if you mean ai and mei will be focused on more content wise tho and ai and mei possibly holding more importance after ns

Eh hopefully Caihong is not removed, and I bet Yue Fang will become an RO, so we know male Wu Heir players will want a cultivator RO. I just want Caihong, (mostly because she hates Tangs just as much as me)

Thing is even if it's made into a novel it will be an average or below average novel, while in IF community cultivation stories are a rare commodity, hence it is being gobbled up, but with every update as you said it is becoming less and less like an if.

I do wonder when you stopped playing the game to be so objectively correct about the state of the story, hope you will share your insight upon it.

I don't remember the exact update but it should be the next or next to next update after we met grandpa and he gang was revealed a cultivator, should be roughly around that point.

I support your fight dw, Tigress was my first RO at Poma start, then I switched to Mei before dipping when I got annoyed with her.

With you there, that was caihong's appeal to me, well being a whole innocent dragon helped.
And I might be in the minority here or maybe the only one with this opinion that romancing AI doesn't make sense even if you are on a good route, girl stands on an extreme end of a revolution that will see your family, social status and everything that defines you obsolete.

I can say that Aura Clash is a linear RPG where you only choose your alignment, class and romance option while experiencing the same exact story with different flavours and it will hold about the same merit as what you just said - which is none.
If what you said was true people would not be still sitting here, discussing the game, and people would not talk about their character and where they stand in the world, while artist do nothing but post fanarts out of their own volition to the point some nerd decided to write an entire AU fanfic with nothing but different MCs' interactions.

There is a lot of stuff that was handled poorly in Poma, but character customization and the branches that come from it is not one of them.

Okay I see what’s going on here, we have an imposter here. No way he just said that about AC, and then go on to brag about character customization and branches??? Like that is not Poma strong suit. I’m not going to argue seeing how much you’re ignoring faults and defending the game you’re one of those I see.

A lot of the uniqueness of the story to me was the original setting and worldbuilding up to the expedition and then even after that with us being a cultivator stranded in a world of Martial Artists, trying to piece together the remnants of the old world left behind by Tang Wei and ascend.

I don't like it at all that we are touching on that "world" of NS and beyond during the story. And inner energy and arts inevitably becoming completely irrelevant to the POMA world once the fusion happens is a tough pill to swallow for me

I know. Fortunately, this time Nicky didn't make the mistake of promising something incredible only to deliver almost nothing in the future. In my eyes, him adding a "minor" is a sign of progress.
