I'm going to surmise this is like pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha and just a showcase of what the new mechanics might look like. Some of these checks are actually impossible from the little I've played and the damage is too high.I usually avoid beta testing, but my friend sent me the file this time and said it was worth it. Apparently, Nicky is reworking several fights and the system itself. This file contains the reworked fight against the vampire, still without the new stat, but I've tested it and it looks really good. Here:
I think karma more diversited than we think. There definitely personal or relationship karma as we seen in TW flashbacks (Blood King her karmic ties with TW through marriage with Tang Xue) or with Fu Bing relative. There definitely Heaven karma as we know. Most likely there also good/bad karma as we seen with DES and their formation against evil. That's what I thought at first but the LB lore event seems to paint karma in a different light.
Isn't martial artist also use Dao? Their spells and arts is also Dao, their problem is with lack of qi, meridians and dantians to cultivate properly. Other arts not exactly the truth, art it just number of actions you need to use simplified version of Dao path. Learning art not equal to Dao comprehension or learning Truth. Cultivation truth is how exactly they use Dao path that they comprehend, LB give example with 2 fire cultivators how they use same Dao path differently. Dao comprehension and learning you own truth is different things.I know. I used them interchangeably when I don't have to mention dao in relation to GS. You actually need dao tho. You need a dao which is something you consider true for soley yourself. When you learn someone else's art, you use their dao, their truth. When you start making it your truth you eventually form the dao seed. This is what LB says in the lore event anyway. Dao seed seems like a blueprint of your dao. Qi is just fuel to bring shape for said dao. Ruo was born with sword dao, he comprehends it, gains his own understanding of it, and as of now has formed a half dao seed.
I agree, dream is a good way to balance the lore between routes, on one hand we have LB who have a bunch of interesting things to say about the Dao and stuff. On other hand only thing we can get out of Tang old fart is “LB iS sHen LonG mU, I’M SuRe Of it”.Dream memories are way easier to write. If Niki was to write missions for every power up, then it would need to be fleshed out and very unique to each other. I imagine it would be too much work for him. Im ambivalent about the dreams tho. On one hand im wondering how MC got Qi from the cultivation dream with the Blood King, MC dreams of TW cultivating millions of years ago and reaps its benefits when he wakes up? doesnt make sense but a power up is a power up. Instead, i wish MC dreams consist more of lore exposition. Like we dream of LB and TW and use it against her to manipulate her, dreams can be used to increase the knowledge of MC instead of it being all powerups. Imagine gaining all the knowledge of a dead god that we just spawn
Its just the blood hunter fight or yeong is ready too? also what does this rework means for the next updates? will he keep working on the tournament or pause it for some time?I usually avoid beta testing, but my friend sent me the file this time and said it was worth it. It's just the BH fight and about the other things....I don't think anyone knowsIts just the blood hunter fight or yeong is ready too? also what does this rework means for the next updates? will he keep working on the tournament or pause it for some time?
I played the newer version, it has both fights, cool stuff, biggest difference was the yeong fight but It didnt really changed that much, the new attributes are qi force (probably to used to reduce the difficulty of the spell power checks) and spell power (it represents your dao and checks that use it, for each dao lv you get 100 spell power)It's just the BH fight and about the other things....I don't think anyone knows
Is the nimble feet girl from the arenaAnd who is yeong?
I did my part by reblogging the Tumblr post where he talked about fixing it in book 2 with a Wu fraud forever tag. Great news to hear after being sick all week.Let’s gooo once that Wu Fraud agenda started spreading he keeps coming to his senses let’s keep pushing agendas
Kind of like the Heavenly dao, human dao LB speaks of. Makes sense.I think karma more diversited than we think. Martial artists use a very simplified broken down version of Dao arts, using actual dao would require immense concentration and qi on top of that so TW broke down actual dao into IE arts. I think dao in itself is detached from cultivation, yes to use dao to its full capacity i believe one must have qi but i think the dao seed enables one to use it more effectively, strengthen the art and reduce the exhaustion it causes for IE users. I might be wrong but how i see it is that dao is basically truth of the universe. For example, we'll take fire element as our dao. Fire is real and true to the universe but how we comprehend that truth is different from others. When you start to understand what that dao path is with extreme relevence to the universe, you start to form a dao seed in your mind, which stores what you consider as the absolute truth about your dao. Ruo was gifted sword dao by the heavens, he has an innate understanding of the sword from birth. But when that understanding develops the more he ponders on the sword is when he starts to form the dao seed. when it completes, it becomes his version of what a sword is supposed to be and never deviates from that. All of his sword arts depend on that understanding to take shape. Thats why i called the GS as kind of a blueprint. Depending on how deep that understanding is, you get the level of you dao seed. Our Dao is transcendent, so its the closest it is to the absolute truth of the universe instead of being a part of it. We dont see Wu Heir ponder on that understanding because thats a game mechanic called comprehend dao with the dao exp. So dao comprehension is learning your own truth from the absolute truth.Isn't martial artist also use Dao? Imma be forming my own dao seed by the time im done here.

Bro finna be the new omniscient sageImma be forming my own dao seed by the time im done here.
Im 100% sure it isThe lack of options in these last sneak peaks worries me a little. I really hope it's not one of those situations where the MC can only get beaten up until there's a chance to retaliate and finish the fight.
To be fair I feel like book one is pretty close to ending. Seeing as it'll be over soon after the Ruo fight in the tourney.Oh great,
Another year added to the completion of a never ending wip COG/HG novel.
Finally a actually good and fun option that goes to show mc aura
