Ah... My beloved Precognition... In a way, I feel like this is Nicky's “favorite,” but he doesn't know how to include it in the story, since he doesn't use it in the game but also refuses to abandon it completely. I mean, precognition is definitely not the kind of talent that can be treated as mere mechanics, unless it's ridiculously nerfed.

In any case, my bet is on regeneration, beautiful, iron will, paragon/overlord, phoenix heart, haggler, meridians, and martial sovereing. I also bet on the addition of some other talent, something to compensate for the lack of EXP, I mean for Dao, since before it was Dao EXP + EXP of your choice, but now it's just Dao EXP.
What's precognition? I've never seen that in the game.

My friend sent me these screenshots. He says it's in the new beta. But he recommended I wait until the final version of the update comes out, because it's still a mess, full of bugs and errors.

What does "improving your foundation for the future" means exactly in this case?
In my mind, this would indicate that either Nick is going to make a mechanic where our current statuses influence the next realm, although I think that would be impossible, because it would be too much work to code and would create too many branches in the story. Or maybe it’s just a way of hinting at something related to the plot, I don’t know. Like, he just said it, but it doesn’t necessarily have any weight, it’s more just a way to reference the plot.

Like if we don't have a strong foundation we could be like that one old woman who took a pill to become a peak houtian, but was still pretty weak that even a late houtian could beat her. Maybe it will be something like earning less points if we ascend before reaching the peak potential of the realm we were before.

Someone said that exp was gone, but we can convert Qi to exp. So maybe it will serve to upgrade the dao path we have? That system will keep the same maybe?
That was the first thing I asked my friend. Wasn't EXP going to disappear? He explained to me that EXP still exists and in fact works in almost the same way as before, except that now we no longer increase Dao directly with it, only stats. However, you now have the option to "Switch Training Type" with two functions "Training has been switched to Physical Exercise. Instead of Dao EXP, you'll be gaining Physical EXP weekly." or "Training has been switched to Dao Comprehension. Instead of Physical EXP, you'll be gaining Dao EXP weekly."

This system seems like a much better version of the refinement points, you can choose whether you raise your attributes limits, progress with cultivation, deepen your foundation or convert qi into xp.

It gives the players much more agency with their builds instead of having to wait for dao improvement events or tang wei dreams (i hope at least) and finally qi is being useful outside of combat.

Nicky really impressed this time, im excited for the next update!

Yes. Really impressive.

The downside, if it really is a downside, is that we'll have to start all over again because of the changes in mechanics and because Nicky apparently added new information to the lore, during the talk with TW.

Another bad thing, depending on how you look at it, is that at least in Mortal Talent, it will be difficult to have an MC who is good at everything; specialization will probably be a necessity. I mean, at least according to Nicky, but he already said the same thing before, so maybe not.

What changes were even made in the TW conversation? I imagine the bit about the manuals is new. Idk what else he added since i dont really remember my first and second playthroughs to compare it with. I read through it like a maniac then. Is it already added or will he be adding it in the next update?

My friend said that it has changed a lot, that TW is now practically a different person. But yes, just like you, I asked the same question, and he kindly sent me this screenshot:

I was even tempted to try the beta, but I think it's better to wait a little longer.

So he has added it recently, then what i read was the previous version? I think the stuff about manuals wasnt present initially.

This is what i read in my playthrough, just the important stuff.
