How dare you correlate hate with He Gang but not with Ruo!? You know who our resident hate minister is? Nowadays he makes his rounds once in a while and all of it involves hating on Ruo. Thats how much he hates Ruo.

I bring news: Nicky said it's almost done; according to him, in two days he should release a beta with the twins' fight. Hopefully, the full update will be ready on time. Another piece of news is that after this update, Nicky plans to take a “break from writing failed stat checks” and write a new chapter for Jinlai.
After a total system rework? He deserves a small break.

It would be better if be hadn't started jinlai and focused on poma

Yeah probably for the best, with how disorganized poma's development has been here's hoping that niki actually plan things out when work on poma resumes. Also really hope for niki to make a plan to flesh out the parts of poma that is not just the main plotline or fights scenes.

This is the "hopefully" one. The realistic/cautious one is "until the end of the month."
On the one hand, I think letting PoMA rest for a while so he can actually maps out how he wants the story to be is a good thing, I do NOT want another story or gameplay remake.
On the other hand, I think we all know it's basically at the tail end of book 1 already, so that last final push for the climax would also be good. Then he can have all the time he wants to maps out book 2.
I'm quite torn on which side I fall on...

I agree... mainly because I've never played Jinlai...
As for my more reasonable comment, I think that instead of splitting his attention between two games, when he wanted "a break from failed stat checks," he should have just focused on other aspects of the game besides combat and the main story, such as training events, hunting events, interactions, POVs, etc...
I like jinlai. It has potential to be universally liked unlike poma just cuz it's a drama finance sim with ro tropes that people seem to like. But I'm more interested in the sim part of the game. Ik this is an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the management stuff in lords of infinity so I like jinlai since it's similar. I've always had a thing for economic sims and war sim games. But at the end of the day if I had to choose, id choose poma.
Games like being a rich powerful wealthy individual in the modern 21st century are there in COG/HG threads
The fact that you can actually make impactful choices in Jinlai, abuse that power and Nicki's writing are what sets it apart from other wealthy business Choice games.
Looking at you Another Rich Family, Ballads of Young God
I personally really enjoyed Metahuman Inc. despite it being somewhat linear. I just really like the genre I guess
Regarding choices we're too early on that demo to be making judgements like that tbh
