Considering it squeezes you dry out of 10 points from each of your stats it probably accessed every single drop of power from your body that could be safely extracted, and considering MC is TW, that was probably very, very large, also probably has to do with how much the devil has a hold on MC and how much power they develop which is why it wasn't so strong earlier and will probably be massively stronger later
This also has a heavy correlation with how the story DEMANDS things to go a certain way to the point it straight up violates whatever choice you make, this is most evident in a lot of events post the coma, the Ma Rin quest, the way the MC **STILL** decides to run from the Darkness Assassins even if you decide to stay and fight and even if you were heavily winning, etc etc, I suspect heavily that if this remains going unabated this will evolve into straight up denial of the player's choices later into this game's lifespan, I hope Nicky does a course correct for some of these flaws because they genuinely squeeze the enjoyment of the game as an Interactive Fiction (which he seems to forget that his game is one) dry, he just seems done with the story now as a whole.

Earlier, when it was first introduced, I read someone's comment that believed it to be a remnant of TW, but what with it's dialogue, especially those related to inextinguishable hate and plans it seems as if the Devil might actually be the Devil of TW himself. The reason why I feel this way is also because even if the MC had devil breaks before, we have never seen such a *personality* of their devil beside the urge to kill. The MC's 'devil' is more similar to when they use Heavenly Asura during the spear twins fight rather than this thing.

Also regarding the previous posts about Ruo glazing, the thing is I believe that with how the story has grown, the theme of the barren world is kinda messing things up in regards to the writing. The MC and the Lizard Wizard are the strongest people on the planet. Even TR's Dao Child thing or whatever is already insurmountable for 'cultivators' of the POMA world. But it is also true that Ruo is being glazed to the point that it takes a lot of the sense of achievement out of the story. Instead of the feeling of rivalry (which is kinda bare bones tbh with only the entry match, the training scene, and the group beating) it just makes the MC achieving anything inconsequential. A proper solution, imho, would be to have more characters actually acknowledge the MC's devastating powerup and capacity. Maybe during meetings with Hao Fan, or maybe with random sect incidents. Perhaps things will change after the 3v3 but up until that point, the MC who became a fledling foal at the end of the expo and within 2 years became strong enough to dominate the arena (which we, again, get no acknowledgement for. Disciples or elders giving names to MC depending on their nature: demon or saint, etc., and their win/loss rates would actually make sense) gives no sense of achievement because there is no acknowledgment of it within the poma world or any of its characters.

Nah you can get it even if you kill mo long you just need to be a bohai disciple when dq comes to 'visit' you otherwise it's just a weird event
Just to be sure, we are talking about the COMPLETED Heavenly Asura Transformation, right? First half you get from being Bohai's disciple and murdering an entire town, second half you get from extracting it out of Mo Long's brain?

I don't think niki's thrown in the gauntlet when it comes to changing and improving the story just yet. Now what i think happened is that for the past 1-2 years now his focus mostly has been on trying calibrate the mechanics of his story rather than trying to write a better narrative. So as a result the narrative that exist currently is just plot moving forward for the sake of advancing the story and serves mostly as a tool to test the mechanics. Niki probably thought that he could come back to rewrite and fix the narrative after he's done working on the mechanics. But with how much work, rework and entire systems and features being deleted for whatever reason, he simply hasn't found the time to tend to the general narrative yet.

I don't know if cultivators have an aura. The only peculiarities my friend told me about the next levels are that, starting with Qi Sea, cultivators gain a spiritual sense, and that Body Refiners also start using Dao, but with their bodies as a medium (like, a body refiner with elemental dao could melt things with punches or punch to freeze, while a body refiner with body dao would be a 'body refiner plus') without expending Qi.
