Because the difficulty multiplier is also applied in the Dao EXP recalculation. Using my runs as a example: My Heavenly Diff Run skyrocketed the Dao Level from Elemental—33 to Tri-Dao—38(Yes, OP asf. Specially considering my LB Run is Tri-Dao—26 & Perfect Dao, that's a 20% Spell power bonus. 12 Levels above this is immensely more preferable), which means that I can pump 153 additional Qi into a spell and it'd continue costing me only 1 Qi. Meanwhile my mortal run with Elemental—15, for example, get reduced to Tri-Dao—11, in that case, however, my LB Run showed to be superior and by a significant amount.I really hope this fight isn't what Nicky meant when he said we'll all get a way to unlock Tri-Dao.
A base eighty perception check is crazy for mortal, and minus three DAO level basically cripples my wizard run even if I could reach the perception check.
(If you're wondering how I achieved such high Dao-level, it's cause perception scale with the Dao-EXP gained per-turn, so rushing it to 100 and using all opportunity to increase it past hard-cap is a very good strategy)
