Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

...huh? You lost me completely there bro.

You're not getting anywhere near that range without developing carpal tunnel syndrome refining those Ironcloud Barrier robes. Unless there's some other exploit I have missed.

Especially on Mortal where you have to ration Qi like a starving child on Darfur.
Read this post of mine.
Did it better, I refined the bracelet into Qi(Gloves too), can't let this gorgeous 182 Qi pass, can I?

Pre-3v3 above. Basically I did what I said before(It was a optimal run):
Starting with base 50 in everything I leveled the three following stats to 55, and then received +5 in STR, AGI and CON by auction pills. +5 In all stats above & VIT from the Battle God Pill. Remember that my VIT, PER and CHA remained 50(My VIT is only virtually 55, still being a innate 50), so I increased two cap in each to use the Changpu Pill increasing by 2.
Therefore my base stats before the dream were; Innate — STR, AGI and CON 60 & VIT, PER and CHA 52. Virtual — STR, AGI and CON 65. CHA and VIT 57. PER 52.
I was saving a lot of Qi for this time; Refined all treasure 1 time(Except by Silken Robe & Dao-Amulet), Chao Mission, Changpu Deal and RINGS. So I could up my PER, mainly, to 60, and my VIT and CHA to 55. Remembering all these values are Innate.
Then comes the +5 from the dream and the 1.1 Multiplier from Mei's Hidden Dragon Pill.
Innate Value: STR 71. AGI 71. CON 71. VIT 66. PER 71. CHA 60.
Virtual Values: STR 76. AGI 76. CON 76. VIT 71. PER 71. CHA 65.
Then comes Ruo'er Ox Marrow Pill with +2 to each stat except CHA, therefore, just add these 2 in each attribute mentioned above, both, Innate and Virtual.

Then I used the Bodily Dao option when preparing to the 3v3(Only 1 time because the book isn't intended to allow this two times), increasing 10 caps, and since the four combat stats can be easily maxed through pills, my only problem were PER and CHA. PER that I increased to 80 through the 16.000 EXP we gain by winning the 3v1 and converting some Unrefined Qi(We gain 1.000 by absorbing the Heavenly-Ice-Wisp).
So, in the end, my stats were(Innate/Virtual): STR 83/88. AGI 83/88. CON 83/88. VIT 78/83. PER 80/80(Non-reached Cap of 83). CHA 60/65(Non-reached Cap of 70 Innate).

But...

This is the post fight and all subsequent events, therefore, Heavenly-Wisp & Zhi Artefact and Money.
But why my stats are so ludicrously high? So, for some blessed reason the effect of the Dao-Forms used against Muchen don't vane after the fight. The Bodily avatar stat bonus is Spell Power/10, my spell power at that point is:
50(Qi Power) + 55(Dao level) + 15(Void-Dao Form that increase the Qi Power by 30%) → 120 X Dao Perfection(1.2 Multiplier) leading to a 144 Spell Power and, therefore, the Bodily avatar is permanently increasing my Virtual stats by 14 points each.
Also, read the subsequent post where I explain my Qi sources.
Basically, I indeed refrained myself from abusing the Treasure Refining Feature, but I still was Refining Rings(Which, I believe, aren't supposed to be one-time buyable). Although the rings were "only" 2.280 Qi out of a total 7.778, so 5.498 Qi achieved through non "artificial" sources if I had restrained myself completely.
(I even made a comparison where if I had indeed used the treasure refining feature to Ironcloud robes it'd be 15.200 instead of 2.280).

And even so the 80~90 stats were the ones we can use pills to up, of course my PER, for example, was lower(73 pre 1v3 and 80 post).
So 80~90 base stats + 12 from the Bodily Dao form(Would be higher currently with the Dao-EXP buff) + 9(Would be 18 currently) from partial Asura + 12 Qi Infusion & Others...

Refining Rings
Don't they give ridiculously little Qi for a massive cost per? As I recall it was something pitiful like 10-15 qi per ring

I don't see how that's feasible money-wise on a normal run.

2k is somewhere around 500 strands. Basically the last stage of Qi Cultivation. Its a good few points off your 83 stat range too, leaving you around the 70s overall which matches what other people achieved

On a side note, you have to pass on so much and take such specific steps to do these "optimized" runs. It's not my idea of a good time, but props for the effort

Funny enough the 80+ stats(Combat stats) were the more easy to achieve. Really the greatest part of the Qi was going to PER as I explained.
Basically, I'll explain STR, AGI and CON. Starting with 50 innate I wait until the auction then I up these three stats to Innate 55(75 Qi for each through the body refining, so 225 total. Increasing the Stat per-se I did through pills). So comes the +5 to each with the auction pills, 60 Innate. +5 through the Dream, 65 Innate. Mei's Hidden Dragon Pill, 65 x 1,1 = 71 Innate(Round). Ruo's Marrow Ox Pill: 73 Innate.
And in the end the +10 caps through the Bodily Dao option pre 1v3, it goes to 83 Innate, 88 actual through Battle God Pill.

Now PER was diabolical indeed.

WTF happened to the Dao EXP Gain, it nearly doubled for me after this last update. went from 80 to 160.

If this is not retractive then it means I have only half of the exp I should have, I need to start a new game or just double my exp from the save file.

Yes, Niki added some buffs it seems. Dao-EXP multipliers increased significantly(Something between 1.5-2x — My mortal run for example ended with Tri Dao level 17). And the Asura modifier increased too, each Devil Breakout increase the stat increase in the Partial Asura by 2. Full Asura, 4.

Guess this means Dao eyes aren't mandatory for a mage now?

I mean, it already wasn't before. Dao-Eyes at max means a difference of two levels. Now it's just entirely optional indeed if you want unnecessary high levels of Dao.
Now which was, and still is, mandatory for a mage run, is to focus your *** on that. Either go Bohai or Aiguo, absorb the wisp, Yichen Books/LB lectures...etc. "B-but I want to RP..." Go play D&D.

This is a text game lmao

"powered by the unstoppable power of your imagination" you literally are meant to roleplay
So do like as I do and RP that Wu Heir hit his head as a child... All doors are always open.

Jokes aside my point was that the route you choose is more important than the talent by itself. An demonic player with Bohai & LB will definitely have a greater Dao-level than, for example, a neutral route with MG as a master. Even if the latter has the talent and the former does not.

Anyway RP is good(I RP too sometimes), just that it locks some optimal(Sorry, I can't help but say the word) options. Can you imagine your saint MC working with Mei? Saying to LB he doesn't care about the world? Absorbing the wisp and destroying Muchen's foundation?
Some people will say yes, I myself don't care much about.

MAbsorbing the wisp and destroying Muchen's foundation?

I mean, the guy literally attacks you with the intent to kill, so absorbing the Wisp was never, in my view, a demonic or unfair act toward Muchen. In fact, I don't understand why killing everyone in a free-for-all provides demonic reputation, since everyone attacks you with the intent to kill you. Both my neutral MC and the Saint always do this. I try to make him a nice guy, but not a pushover. ┐(゚~゚)┌

That is a serious issue with POMA though. A good and a neutral path should be viable. Otherwise, why even add these options in? Besides, this is an interactive fiction game, you're supposed to pick your path and character archetype not be shoehorned into one singular way of doing things.

As a side note, absorbing the wisp isn't really an evil option. Muchen tries killing you with that thing out of spite, all you do is give him his comeuppance. On top of that, you can even be a doormat and apologize for doing so and offer compensation.

AM I the only person who has an error when he tries to use the new training pills, the perception pill specifically?

I have the same error when I tried to equip a glove

Can't be helped. Nicky doesn't always do a great job at making these morality choices. Take a look here, I can't tell her it was a fight and I gave Muchen SEVERAL outs and he's the one who actively chose to escalate. I was only responding in kind.

Closest thing to what I would've said is the third one, and it's a demonic choice.

Nicky seems to think it is. I don't even see why absorbing the wisp is demonic, so what if it's "begging"? Why exactly am I supposed to care???

Other than that, I have also told LB I don't care about the world and about making it better, that it's not the great selling point she thinks it is. It's what I would've said there. I guess that makes me a terrible demonic creature.

I can't justify working with Mei though as I can't imagine my irl self ever doing it lol. That one is for Wu heir who got dropped as a baby.
