Path of martial arts: leaked sneak peaks, and discussing thread

Ah, I forgot to mention middle aged. With slight crows feet, forehead creases and laughter lines. I never saw her young looking lol. I think Chao is younger than her but in one of the recent updates even hes described as having growing wrinkles, but still handsome.
Tbf, Wu Chao doesn't have 1/100th of the resources the Tangs do, I just imagine she looks 30/40ish though

Nickolai is Taking a break, has to write tigress content, not mei, a sad day for him, he will return by december and be recovered by then, inshallah
Bruh, I speak Russian and seeing people call him Nikolai is so funny ngl.

It's like if you have someone named Ben or John and you call the Benjamin or Johnathan. Very respectful way to refer to your superiors and/or older people, especially with their patronym added.

As far as I know Niki (which would be an anglicized diminutive for Nikita usually btw) is of college age, so to me it sounds funny and/or weird. The usual diminutive for Nikolai is Kolya or Kolyan.

But that's a friendly way to refer to someone you know and likely is of age with you (within 10-15 years generally).

Lmao funny you mention that, I dont speak Russian and even i got the feeling that Nikolai inherently felt old. I mentioned some time back that i never once thought of Niki as Nikolai and thinking about it is funny. I always felt that Nikolai is a common name used 50 or so years ago and is now considered old fashioned. Doesnt help all the Nikolai i know are from fiction and they are generally middle aged or old lol.

It is old, for example many Tsars and nobles were named that, but I wouldn't say it isn't common now. I personally know like 2, and it only feels off when you use the full version.

Like my grandpa's name was Nikolai and I wouldn't picture myself calling him Kolya, except when talking to family members. Never met him but it's the general cultural sentiment - use the full name and add patronym if you want to be respectful to someone, and if you're young (less than 30-35) it is expected of you. In professional settings if you are not friends you would still use the full name even if you are of age.

But I agree that it does feel very apt for someone in their 40s and onwards, but that's because a lot of parents now name their kids something foreign or neutral that can be used comfortably both in Russian and other languages. Names like Alex (Alexander), Max (Maxim), Leo (Leonid), etc. are popular because of those reasons.

Tbh I knew that Niki was Russian but I always assumed his name was Nikita because of the nickname, not Nikolai.

anybody know when the current jinlai update(premium) stops? also would appreciate if you had the link or knew how to get it,i dont think i've read it this yr tbh
