Is this a bug it says I killed Demon Queen's son but I spared him

Sorry, I don't know how to hide spoilers, so be warned there's some spoilers ahead:

If you spare him, he ends up killing himself anyway, and the demon queen takes it out on you. If you want to do his quest without being demon queen's *****, read the alchemy book in the library before doing the quest. It'll let you spare him without suicide and give you the option to tell him he might have been set up.

I don't specifically know when but you'll get a visit in a dream form someone name Dream Weaver(i don't know if the name is correct). After the dream you'll get 4 options. Go to the tang, go to the rouge and other two options are juts not telling anybody. Go to Lei Xiwen and tell him about the dream and he'll take you to his master. When she ask you have to say, you don't care about your world and planning to leave. And say she's the prettiest when she ask, other options are not a good outcome. Hope this work.

I let this game marinate too much. I just want to ask if the first interaction with Tang Ruo and its charm stat check is gone? Because as far as I remember whenever I choose that specific action there will be a charm check and raised in relationship.
