This is all well and good but I honestly wish the author would start working on the path where we can save our Mother during the beginning... The current path is all well and good but losing Mom just because she forced us to dip is kinda... Cowardly and stupid tbh

I wanna save Mom

Due to harsh criticism regarding the use of AI, Echoes of Olympus might have just seen it's last Update. (Chapter 4 + Incomplete Chapter 5)

(The following is excerpts from a long, long Tumblr post. Copied what felt most important. The demo is now private.)

A/N: I write everything myself. The only thing I’ve ever used AI for is translation, coding, and a bit of help with phrasing things idiomatically. That’s the truth, and I’ve never hidden it. Maybe some of those translations carried patterns people found too “AI-like,” and I understand why that upset them. It’s fair. But please know this story - all of it - came from me. From my own thoughts, my own heart. Every idea, every scene, every character.

Some felt personally offended by how this project came to be, or by the tools I chose to use. And I'm sorry about that. And so I’m pulling the plug.

I’ll delete my Patreon in a few days.
I’ve already refunded everyone who subscribed in the last few days (just as I’ve always offered to previous subscribers as well).

When you share something with the world, there will always be people who dislike it and others who love it. But I’ve learned that I simply don’t have the tools to cope with the former.

I didn’t know that about myself until now.

So once more - thank you. To this community, to everyone who took part in this journey. Over the next few days, I’ll quietly disappear. At the end of the day, no matter what I decide, I’ll never be able to please everyone - so this time, I have to choose to please myself.

Sad but all he had to do was to stop AI and actually learn English properly and coding like he's using choice script that's just basic html and his english is already good all he had to do was have confidence in his eng skills because like let's be honest we've all seen eng speakers use principal instead of principle.

I don't usually got out of my lurking, but this genuinely took me off guard. It kinda sounds like: "Oh? You don't like riding a bus? Buy a car then" Idk if I am making sense, my English is very limited. Not everyone has time to learn coding for, what seems like, a hobby. I don't read too much on it but the "learn English properly" is kinda a ******* and entitled thing to say.

You could rephrase that to be a little bit friendly (or is just my bad reading in English, if is the case... please ignore me lol. English is my third language so it is bit hard to grasp all the nuances)

Back to lurking...

So the author lurks in this place? Lmao yeah your reading is bad because the only way to learn any language properly is to let yourself make mistakes get that chip off your shoulder bro english is my second language

Damn. I got caught 😭💔. What I going to do? 😭💔💔😨😢

Jokes aside, in my country we say "Respect is good and everyone likes it". Rephrase your original post would take less than a minute and yet you... well, you are you. For better or worse lmao

I am not, unfortunately. Apparently, having the good old common sense is being the author undercover. I am just someone with decency enough to not judge any work while being in a piracy site.

I find these types of arguments so funny. "Not everyone can learn how to code", "not everyone can learn how to write"... Yeah and I cannot sing for the life of mine, so no one would mind if I showed up to a singing contest with a voice synthesizer program right? Since I have neither talent, nor time and money for lessons.
Very few people are good at something from the get-go, and we all learn by doing, not by offloading the task to the machine.
This said, the correct response is to simply not engage with the content you disapprove of. Harassing an author over it is going too far. Then again, we're now at the stage where even pointing out issues with prose can be considered harassment, so what do I know.

Wtf is her problem or his problem? Obviously people Will criticise them, especially since they weren't clear on what they use it for.... Does that mean they should pull the plug especially for a book that isn't hot garbage. Authors and Caring about the opinion of people that don't read their book is crazy....

Learning English properly isn't something they would have done currently especially if they were writing a book. I am from a nation that our first language isn't English but 70% knows how to speak it because we were taught at a very young age.
Hell, learning a language isn't easy and can take yearsss, I know two language... My native language, pidgin and English... The easiest was pidgin.
